1963. $56k. Porsche 356. A Super 90 if I could find one at that price. The great thing is that I have one! Bought a 1963 Super 90 years ago as a "car in a box" for $3,500. The amazing thing is the owner also had a 1963 B "normal" that he threw in for an extra $1,000. I still have it too!

2003’s car, im 17 so $17k budget, either a holden commodore ss, ls platform and would still have money left over for mods, or a xr6 falcon, id get a dirt cheap n/a for like $1k and with that remaining 16k you could put some serious money into that barra and get some amazing performance figures, big turbo, cam, rods, fuel, even exhaust

@@gary_michael_flanagan_wildlife I don’t like black cars and have never had one, because of how difficult they are to maintain. I have heard people talk about spending all day detailing the outside of their black car, and with it in the garage. Then the next day opening the door to admire how deep the shine is, only to be hit with the dust and particles all over it. But you know about ceramic coatings. Look at Ed’s review on his Porsche. He purposely tried to get it dirty, and nothing stuck. As for a color The General usually has that certain blue. If it’s the certain one, it will show the curves off pretty good. Anyways, remember the twin turbo setup that was on Gears? That would boost the Vette to the next level. Cheap fast and quick, with a low slung body to match.

I good friend is a Professional Ferrari mechanic who owned a mid-2000s M3. He sold it within a year, the car was a nightmare of high-dollar maintenance and unreliability. If a Ferrari mechanic can have that opinion, and isn't shy about working on modern, complex drivetrains, I'm satisfied...and I own three BMWs currently. NONE of them M-series machines. I see plenty of them parked around the entrance to my local BMW dealership service area....

The one I went with of course, an E82. 09 BMW 135i, twin turbo, 6 speed manual, rwd. 400whp with a simple tune from your cell phone with a stock bottom end that handles 800hp with proper maintenance.

Freddy repping that VR4 made me happy. Right before he came on, I was thinking that a really nice VR4 with some mod money would be my choice - not the fastest thing out there, not the most reliable, but they're beautiful and comfortable grand touring cars. If I wanted to get really extravagant, I'd go for on of the 95/96 VR4 Spyders.

I was at exactly that point and I went for a 2012 E550 Coupe. It has the 4,7 liter Bi-Turbo V8 and 408HP Stock. 500hp with a simple tune. This car literally eats anything in this price range alive. My next option would be a 2005 Mercedes E55. Realizable as hell, incredible quality and faster that most modern cars. 600hp are easily possible so that’s my next car probably. And for 25.000 you have like 5k left over for maintenance and mods because extremely clean cars sell for around 20k.

How how the M278 been for you? I am in the market for a 14 e550 at the moment or just go the safe route with a beautiful 2016 Lexus GS350 F-sport with much better reliability but much less power. I dealt with a CLS500 getting the computers soaked sitting under a tree and having leaves clogged the drains and water finding the passenger side fuse boxes.

RS4 and cts v guys got it right. Id have either of those. However, I'm not one to buy cars with high miles or cars that need immediate work. I'd have an audi S4 or S5 with the 4.2L V8 and of course a 6 speed. Currently drive an '06 wrx and unfortunately it is proving to be super reliable so it will probably be a few years before I can buy my audi.

@@carsaregood911 False, E92 M3 is very reliable and can handle more load/pressure than the IS-F. ISF isn't suppose to compete with M3 according to numerous people saying Lexus said this. I doubt that's true because it seems like they tried to compete by just adding high performance parts for a lower amount but couldn't cause they realize they need to dump more money in to put in higher quality parts as an M. Lexus can't compete with the top 3 by using cheap Toyota parts. They have to build higher quality parts that handle more load and stress to compete with the high quality 3 series alone. Look at the RC-F, it now competes with the M4. Anyways, the e92 m3 is reliable and I know because I own a competition pack M3. Almost 70k miles and it is still on factory original parts. The M3 is just a better buy in almost every way.

I just lived this choice. Wasn't replacing my daily, so it was just a toy. Prices are up a bit so I paid a bit over 25. I got a 2020 Miata Club that already had a lot of suspension and tire upgrades. I can't imagine getting anything for that price that's as much fun to drive on So Cal back roads. It's reliable and I can beat the crap out of it and not have to worry too much about maintenance. Close to 30 MPG even when driven hard. When tires wear out, which will be often, less than 1K for Michelin PS4S.
