I've said before that I think your collecting is just more inspiring than anything. you have a taste for music that is vast and there's nothing wrong with that. it's wonderful to just LOVE music and collect it, if you ask me.

Wonderful finds Topper! Love the Rick Wakeman CD and packaging. He and Keith Emerson were my favorites from the early 70's.

I love those first 2 Chicago albums. I also feel that Ten Years After is a vastly under rated band. Your diversity of tastes for different genres is inspiring! Hang in there with this COVID stuff.

Huge amount of good stuff in that latest batch,Man!I filled a Byrdmaniax-shaped hole in my collection a while back.That Spirit...I bought a U.S. cut-out of it way back,probably early '80's and later sold it in that dumb way you sometimes do.Picked up a second hand copy of the cut-out couple of years ago.I really miss the days of the cut-out bins.Stay on top of it,Man...Music is the best!

hi topper, how is everything? a beautiful selection of cds and lps! everything you showed looks very cool with a lot of interesting artists. i enjoy new age music also and those lps looked pretty interesting, have not seen them before. love anything julie london did, especially her later day liberty releases, i may have the one you showed plus a couple others that she did in the early to mid sixties, beautiful sultry voice! i still buy cds every so often and a lot of times you can find used ones for pretty cheap, never pass up a bargain especially when it comes to music. hope this finds you well and that you are having a goodv summer. thanks for sharing all these gems and stay safe , rob

Hi Topper, those were some incredibly good CDs. Civil Wars is such a beautiful and sad CD. I was disappointed when they broke up. I spent years looking for Veendon Fleece and then suddenly I found 4 copies in WV. WV owns almost all those albums. Incredible music. Love that Gary Numan album. His new music is excellent Always a pleasure to hang out with you. Anne Murray in hot pants, wow.

I always love watching your vids! I learn alot about different kinds of music!! As for the folks that say you collect everything, I wouldn't even worry about because that is who you are and what makes you as a person. Great haul Veedon Fleece is Van’s divorce album and one of his best, he returned to Ireland to record it, second only to Astral Weeks IMO

I think it's a good idea to collect a wide variety of music (except country). You may not listen to it all today, but someday you'll be looking for something new to listen to and there it is! (just kidding about country) wow, Wakeman autographed CD is fantastic with the pop-up landscape. Julie London is so awesome. I like Byrdmaniax...it has a great song called "I Trust" on it. I like "Snowbird" by Anne Murray. Thanks for showing the records and CDs!

I think you should be looking at it as being a "culture savier". If it wasn`t for us who collect all kind of music the CD´s and the Albums should be left to the dump. The historian in the future are gonna give us a big thank you. We are doing a great job !!! Keep Collecting.

Some real classic stuff there! Can't beat Tommy. Flaming Pie is a nice one. I like The Final Cut a lot. It may not be a proper Pink Floyd album, but then neither was The Wall, really. Love Veedon Fleece. That is one of my top 3 Van albums, after Astral Weeks and Saint Dominic's Preview. Black & Blue isn't one of the Stones' best, but still plenty of Hot Stuff. TYA Watt is a great one. Cool that the Joni still has the hype sticker. The cool thing about the Ekseption is that they cover Jethro Tull and the Nice. Love Gary Numan's synthesizer sounds. Never heard the Electric Tommy; I should look that up. I have the Lucia Hwong on CD, along with the follow-up where she seems to be swathed in Saran Wrap.

I'd take the buy anything comment as a compliment. You enjoy lots of genres and can afford to take a chance on discovering new music cheaply. Some people are just snobs in life and wouldnt be seen dead in a thrift store. Their problem enjoy the music. I have that gary numan album, love that track "films" old school break beat cited by afrika bambaataa as a major influence on hip hop. Cant get much cooler than that.

Regarding that radio show, Music From The Hearts of Space, I won a contest he had. He played a piano recording late one night, (I'm in San Francisco) and asked the audience to guess who it was, stating that the artist wasn't known to be a pianist. Well, may a year before, I had seen Stephane Grappelli at our Great American Music Hall, and during an interlude, he sat and played piano. Being a completist, I had spent some time after that looking for anything with him on piano. Only when he guested on an Oscar Peterson recording did he play piano. I was the first caller, I guessed right, it pissed off the host, cause he thought he had a good one...About two months later I got my prize. An hour on the show at the radio station on the Campus of the College Of San Mateo, where I had also spent two years in the 70's. I got to bring my own choices of stuff. By then I had a bunch of my own strange multitrack keyboard work, and I brought music from friends I had in the city. But I put the whole thing organized on two cassettes. I knew he would stop and talk to me, then go back. So I added sound effects in between the cuts to give it a Al Jazzbo Collins here you are in the Grotto vibe, with animal sounds, waterfalls, etc., between the cuts. Created a world. But the second cassette was just the ending song. That was Leon Russell's I"m Slippin' Into Christmas, sliding out on New Years Eve. My friends at home recorded the show. I think that host is still pissed.

Hi, Nice Rick Wakeman signed CD - I have seen him a couple of times in the local supermarket in Beccles, Suffolk. Rick keeps a low profile but apparently plays the organ at his local village church, undoubtedly in his silver cape :) Don't take notice of the trolls, you have recommended some superb records to me (Morgen for instance) that I would never have known about otherwise. Where do you special order that Rick Wakeman? I would love that. My dad would want one too! I saw John 5 who plays with Rob Zombie, played with Marilyn Manson and David Lee Roth play with K.D Lang. He’s a great guitarist. She was awesome live. I worked at a concert theater in Florida. Concrete Blonde! Another amazing guitarist! Uses his fingers! I never heard that Van Morrison album, I love Astral Weeks, I have to get it! Ten Years After! Six Eye of Frank that’s awesome! Amazing Joni Mitchell album! Elvis is everywhere! Still the King man! His music is in my blood thanks to my grandma playing him everyday! She went to Graceland 10 times before she passed. I used to listen to a radio show called Echoes once a week that played New Age music! I loved it! Stuff like a guy playing flute in the Grand Canyon and a group doing an ambient version of “God Only Knows”. Man, you showed some awesome albums! Topper, all those amazing albums are going to add years onto your life! Recent study from Harvard said music is good for the heart!

Musician's hear music on a deeper level. And I have benefited from musicians recommending music I probably would never have heard otherwise. And you're a cool guy.
