The troubleshooter's effect is actually really good if you do any playthrough against the institute. All synths, disguised or otherwise, are affected by the perk.

The best legendary effect on most guns I use would have to be the explosive effect. Farming for the explosive shotgun is a pain though

Got a resolute double barrel shotgun. Quite fun to use once fully upgraded. The first hit slightly damages the enemy and the second one gives me all the time to land a nice close up headshot.

Puma you have to also take into account your level in-game. if you are a higher level than the average player some enemies level with you, so when you say the mini-gun dosen't do a lot of damage to the average player its a fairly good weapon.

Deadeye is by far one of the most practical legendary effect imho, saved my bacon in survival sooo many times

I found a furious submachine gun and it is actually really good the high fire rate stacks that damage really quickly it takes out behemoths super fast.

My Troubleshooter's Submachine Gun came in handy for the Automatron dlc. Once that was over...into the sanctuary workshop storage forever

Pipe weapons are awesome mostly because the ammo is very cheap and easy to get and the mods are very easy to get as well and you can make snipers and SMGs from them

The violent ledgandary effect makes automatic weapons almost unusable. It makes any recoil reducing mod completely useless and the recoil itself is so strong

During the quest when you get Righteous Authority (Sorry I forgot the quest name) one raider and a pipe revolver. It had a cyro effect which was overpowered. Surprisingly one of my best guns.

Fun fact: a very real problem CRPGs face is that, no matter how you break them down, it's pretty hard to deal with the realities of the real world. For instance, the main reason assault rifles were invented in the first place was the main reason carbines were invented in the first place - namely because their design made sense over conventional combat rifles of their time in specific contexts. Assault rifles, for instance, are well-known for being significantly shorter than a combat rifle (and especially a sniper rifle; more on this below); the reason for this design choice is that assault rifles are primarily intended for use in settings where there is not a whole lot of open field to move around: cramped spaces like apartment buildings, for instance, place a certain demand for a shorter weapon, since a longer barrel means a worse ability at both navigating around said spaces and aiming at targets (a longer barrel means a wide arc requires more effort to achieve; a short barrel means the same wide arc is easier to achieve; plus a target that is up close might be difficult to aim at, or they might swipe the barrel to the side if too close). So at some point in-game weapons are going to have trouble capturing why they have advantages over each in games, because there isn't that kind of finer detail which separates one from the other. For example, a real-world sniper rifle offers the best advantage under real sniping conditions, which can include incredible ranges when shooting at far-away targets, which is just not really seen in your typical CRPG for a number of reasons.

I BELIVE FLAMERS ARE AMAZING WITH THE WOUNDING EFFECT BECAUSE THEY BASICALLY IGNOR ENEMY'S ARMOR.

Well, there is one single solitary use for the ghoul-slayer's gamma gun. If you're also wearing another piece of ghoul-slayer's armor, then wielding a ghoul-slayer's weapon will provide additional protection the same as wearing another piece of ghoul-slayer's armor. Wearing a full set of 6 pieces of ghoul slayer armor, while wielding a ghoul-slayer weapon, completely negates all incoming damage from ghouls. Thus, the ghoul-slayer's gamma gun can potentially be useful if it's the only ghoul-slayer weapon you have, in order to be able to just watch right through a ghoul dungeon without worrying about dying.

In my current survival playthrough I got an Instigating Ripper, Kneecapper Rocket Launcher, and a Ghoul Slayer Radium Rifle…

The resolute assault rifle was good for me since it allowed me to notice when I needed to reload and it gave me a way to get to cover to reload, it’s saved my ass some times.

The game in general was pretty disappointing. I've been a die hard fan since FO3 and it was pretty disappointing FOR ME. I hated the protagonist being able to voice over, I hated the Skyrim like spawning, and I just hated the fact that this game felt NOTHING like a post-apocalyptic game in general. The more I play it, the more of just would like to go back to FO3...hell....even New Vegas. The "hand holding" is almost non existent and beyond less fluid than it's predecessors to boot. Overall score out of ten for A FALLOUT GAME I'd give it 4/10. Bethesda...you can do better.

I just started my second play through, and I walked through concord finding a dead legendary raider with an furious boxing glove. Level 5 btw.

the first legendary I got in this game was called "penetrating baton" after a few short chuckles, and a name change to "rapey wiggum" I soon got rid of it.
