60 Minutes, the most successful American television broadcast in history, began its 52nd season in September. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 is still a hit in 2020. 60 Minutes makes Nielsen’s weekly Top 10 nearly every week and was the #1 weekly television broadcast three times last season.
The program still averages more than 10 million viewers, more than double the audience of its nearest network news magazine competitor. The average audience for a 60 Minutes broadcast is 150% higher than those of the network morning news programs; the audience dwarfs the number of viewers drawn by the most popular cable news programs.
About a million more people listen to the 60 Minutes radio simulcast in several major cities and on its companion podcast. Tens of thousands each week experience 60 Minutes online. The broadcast’s segments can be watched at 60Minutes.com and on the CBS All Access app. Its webcast, 60MinutesOvertime.com, offers content originally produced for the web, including behind-the-scenes video about the production of 60 Minutes stories and timely archival segments.
60 Minutes has won every major broadcast award. Its 25 Peabody and 150 Emmy awards are the most won by any single news program. It has also won 20 duPont-Columbia University journalism awards. Other distinguished journalism honors won multiple times include the George Polk, RTDNA Edward R. Murrow, Investigative Reporters and Editors, RFK Journalism, Sigma Delta Chi and Gerald Loeb awards.
60 Minutes premiered on CBS September 24, 1968. Bill Owens is the program’s executive producer. The correspondents and contributors of 60 Minutes are Sharyn Alfonsi, Anderson Cooper, John Dickerson, Norah O’Donnell, Scott Pelley, Lesley Stahl, Bill Whitaker and L. Jon Wertheim.

Nobody gives an explanation like Ms. Viola Davis. When she's done, you've just been educated! I can listen to her talk all day. She would have made a great teacher if acting wasn't her calling.

I will never forget sitting on my couch finding out that Chadwick had passed away. I am taking a break from social media so initially when it happened I didn’t know. I turned on KZfaq about to play a video and some lady was on live and the title said “Chadwick Boseman Dead” I remember cursing and saying to my boyfriend “People are always killing celebrities off ugh I can’t believe she said that!” My boyfriend said let me check CNN just to be sure, he got really quiet... showed me the phone and I remember just weeping. Weeping, sobbing, screaming, yelling. Chadwick was a part of “the family” before Black Panther my first movie seeing him in action was 42, I said “wow this guy is going places” Chadwick you’re missed. You and Kobe Bryant’s death have rocked me to my core 💔💔💔

I'm not gonna lie, if anyone were to replace Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, I feel John David Washington would be the best fit. Also, if the writers decide to go the route of having Suri be the next Black Panther, J.D.W. could hand over the role/title of Black Panther to her so he can focus on being King.

She's telling the truth. You have to put in the work. Viola has SOUND ground school testimony from the surely missed days of the Julliard, Micheal Shurtleff, Uta Hagen, Stanford Meisner scene study class with your gym shoes, your jeans, a sweat shirt, present and ready to fight in your cold reading. She's right about entertainers / movie stars. But an artist? They disappear. Saturate. Thats what an artist does. People can live their whole lives and miss the soul of what they do. And do not forget that craftsman sitting there who never got his vehicle but continues to show up...Glynn Turman.
