I actually liked the English dub, even if it was a bit out of synch, it’s still one of the better ones I’ve seen.

Same, even though some characters had off moments I think all the voices were a good match. Erika Harlacher was amazing as Violet, I prefer her over her Japanese voice quite a lot.

The thing I liked about Gilbert was that he chose to feign his death to Violet because he knew that he loved her, but that if he didn't disappear for a while, she'd go to follow his command forever, and that's something he didn't want her to do. He understood well that she needs to understand what it truly means to love somebody.

The dub is good for the most part, I just think Violets voice actor adds too much emotion into her scenes, which doesn’t encapsulate her nature as a whole

Dub or not the message still comes through. Violet is realizing her position. She came back. While others could not. Many are alone and she feels it because she felt that way. She understands the pain now because she knows what it's like to lose.

Sad, yet hopeful. An emotional roller coaster that devours your soul and spits it out abused and reshaped for another beating and yet for a hopeful and joyful ride of forgiveness and self acceptance. Meow out!

The dub looks pretty nice but after watching only sub I can say that the dub's voice actress brings a bit more emotion which doesn't necessarily suit the character. Japanese VA has that little bit of cold tone she brings which is genius because of violet's past and the effect of growing up emotionless.

I think they had a reunion from the light novel but the adaptation might not had it shown. Although at episode 13 at the last scene, Violet was requested by an urgent call and it showed her shock face when she saw the person(?), not sure if it was the Major or she was just shocked.

I agree on that, but I gotta admit. The Eng Dub was very good especially for Violet. Though the male characters (including Gil's bro) wasn't very satisfactory for me. So I'm expecting very highly for the next movie and cannot be patient.

IMO, Eng dub on this felt different, in a good way tho, which was quite unusual I'd say. It was very good. But still needs an improvement especially for the male characters. I like this.

Why would she sound more girlish and childish? People just need to stop fantasizing about women having baby voices. It’s creepy and sexiest. She is a lot older than 14 too. In the Japanese version, she doesn’t sound like a 14 year old with a child voice either.
