Dal Tadka and Jeera Rice is a very popular combo which everyone order in restaurant. There are so many veriation in dal tadka like, moong dal tadka, chana dal tadka, mix dal tadka, lasooni dal tadka etc. I shared the classic version of dal tadka which will give you exact restaurant wala taste. Making jeera rice is easy but many people told me that their rice gets very sticky or rice doesn't looks fluffy. I shared all details in this video to make perfect jeera rice and dal fry/ dal tadka at home.
Ingredients:
For Dal Fry / Dal Tadka:
1/2 Cup Toor Dal
1/2 Cup Masoor Dal
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/4 tsp Asafoetida
1 tsp Ghee
1 Cinnamon Stick
Salt to Taste
Water as Required
1 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp Ghee
1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 Green Chilly
1 tsp Chopped Garlic
1 tsp Chopped Ginger
2 Dry Red Chillies
1 Chopped Onion
1 tsp Ginger Chilly Paste
1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
1 tsp Coriander Cumin Powder
1/2 tsp Dry Fenugreek Leaves
Fresh Coriander
Water as Required
Salt to Taste
1 Tomato
1 tbsp Butter
For Tadka:
1 tsp Ghee
1 tsp Oil
1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tsp Chopped Garlic
1/4 tsp Ginger
2 Dry Red Chillies
1/2 tsp Dry Fenugreek Leaves
1/4 tsp Asafoetida
1/4 Red Chilly Powder
For Jeera Rice:
1 Bay Leaf
1/2 tsp Ghee
1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
1-1/2 Cup Rice
1 tsp Ghee
1 tbsp Oil
1 Cinnamon Stick
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
Salt to Taste
Fresh Coriander
