Usually in a Gangster film, the content of a female character usually reflects and mirrors that of the male character. This is because of the male-dominant nature of the male role. Women and men have different expectations and values of each other, especially with respect to the roles they will play. The way in which a woman acts or a male acts towards her influences the actions and behavior of the character in the film. This is because the woman is considered to be weaker than the man and the man is considered to be more dominant than the woman.
The lead doesn't start out this way. She is a sweet and innocent, sheltered married woman and until a terrible tragedy occurs in her family through her spouse & daughter. She starts to run from the issues for the sake of her son. She goes in a bad direction, however, and ends up in an unexpected position.
For the purpose of this intro, I’m going to assume that you haven’t watched the short film. Don’t worry, I’m not going to spoil anything.
