Virginia went from being upset in the first round last year to a 16 seed to now having a chance to win the NCAA chip. Wow what a comeback.

The double dribble was missed, but I bet 98% of those calling for the double dribble only say so because they're Auburn fans and because the ref-announcer mentioned it. I'm sure the referees thought Auburn would foul immediately after Jerome crossed half court. Cry as you may. Also, the foul on Guy was clearly a foul. That one is hard to miss.

As a UVA fan Ill admit that was a double dribble but you know what else happened? Guy hit a clutch three to cut the lead to 1. Auburn missed a free throw, Auburn fouled Guy, and Guy hit all of his free throws. That’s why Auburn lost.

Double dribble, phantom foul snatched Auburn’s victory at the last minute, but if they hit their fts or 3s, it wouldn’t have even mattered. War Eagle anyway.

It just dawned on me that Auburn's time in the 2019 tournament almost ended in the first round when they fouled on a three point shot against New Mexico State and got away with that one when the guy missed 2 out of 3. And then they did it again in the Final Four and it cost them mightily

I don’t know if it’s just me but if I’m a player I would rather play good D but not touch the player to avoid a late foul and force Virginia to make a 3 to win or a 2 to take it to overtime OVER fouling an 80% free throw shooter for 3 free throws. I dunno just seemed like a terrible decision.

They didn’t even show the double dribble that’s how you know they messed up Edit: some people are also saying the auburn player fouled him by grabbing his jersey before the double dribble but the refs still missed that call to and if you think about it if the refs called the jersey tug auburn would have at least have 2 more seconds on the clock which gives them a much clearer shot so either way the refs messed up WAR EAGLE!!!!🦅

I was actually surprised because duke,South Carolina,and villinova have been championship teams over the years either got an upset or blown out in March madness

Refs missed the travel call, but this was a well-played game. You know, Auburn kept competing with Virginia and they had a chance to win the game, but one thing they'll look back on, you never foul a jump-shooter. That's what cost them in the end.

There never should've been a shot taken by Virginia with 1.5 seconds left because that's when Auburn should've had the ball anyway.

Double dribble or not, they fouled on a 3 and missed a wide open layup at the end of the game. All teams had missed calls, at the end of the day UVA earned it. They play a full 40 which most teams cant do. They play to fast and make mistakes in the last 5 mins where as VA doesn't. I live in Charlottesville tho, i love this team! We havent had a good sports team in years, we needed this

If there's one thing this year's tournament has taught me, it's that if you're the coach of a team up by one score with your opponent inbounding close to the basket with just a couple of seconds remaining you let them shoot the corner three. Do NOT have your players try to defend it. If anything, tell them to run away from the shooter because if they do something silly like try to compete and contest the shot, it's an automatic foul and you lose. Your odds are actually much better leaving the corner three wide open because the shooter will miss in that situation 99% of the time. There's just nowhere near enough room in that corner space for any defender to do anything but foul.

Virginia is stacked af they got 1 lottery pick and 2 or 3 1st round picks vs only 1 lottery pick in texas tech and 2 second round picks

The missed FT down the stretch is really what hurt Auburn. Yeah I get the missed or non call and I get the refs calling or not calling the foul on the trey but the missed FT lost the game by 1pt...he hits it worse case is OT.

This Virginia team's offensive and defensive awareness is very high almost everyone in the team has great IQ and makes good plays all the time..Thats why whenever u face them they will always find a way to get their team in the game. You just cant stop a team like this so easily. Same type of play type and mentality can be seen with GSW. Would be interesting how they play against the athletic TTU

No one noticed the double dribble until well after the game ended. Auburn got burned by fouling when they had a foul to give. No foul and Virginia throws up a desperation shot and loses. Give credit to the Virginia kid for hitting the 3-pointer to keep them in the game and then burying all 3 FTs on the big stage.

All eyes were on Jerome as he lost his handle IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COURT. Only one defender in front of him, no one else around to obscure the refs’ vision. On this stage, the Final Four in front of tens of thousands of fans, just disgraceful.
