In kumaun too we used ratanjot to get that colour in the gravy, i still do at times. But mostly people now achieve that using tomatoes and red chilli powder. Incredible video. Happy to see people are still using ratanjot. :)

I was introduced to Ratanjot when I was just 16, now I am 29! Still I do not recommend this, it will do more harm to your laal maas than good. Some people are experts using it, lets just leave it to them

बना वो मिर्ची लाहौरी नहीं लखोरी मिर्च होती है और वो इतनी तेज होती है की ज्यादातर वो आंसू गैस के गोले में इस्तेमाल आती है । इसका उत्पाद गढ़वाल में होता है न की सुअरिस्तान में।

@virtaulbanjara chap mutton ya red mean ki hi banti hai, chicken uska sasta option hai. And these recipes are nothing too unique, they have just given unique names. Aap lucknow, bihar, etc kisi zyada recipes have the same process and spices. It might of couse taste good, as it is slow cooked curry.
