Thank you so much for this video, I had fracture and tendon damage, my doctor sprinted and taped my pinky but it was constantly coming off the first week of wearing the splint, after watching your video, I tried the K tape, followed by self stick tape ,then splint, and self stick tape again. My splint has stayed on all week, I wish I had saw your video a week earlier.Thanks appreciate you 🙏🏻 Ken

Last night while sleeping , my mallet finger splint came off after a week of wearing it. I woke up and realized and put it right back on. Does that mean I lost a whole week of healing and have to start from scratch??!

From everything I've read and heard, unfortunately yes you're starting from scratch now. Can't bend at all is that 6-8 week timeframe and if it does, the timeframe resets. Stinks I know. I'm going thru this right now too, dominant hand. So annnnnoying!

I work construction alot and cant help but use my hands. I attached a spring to the finger splint and attached it to my magnetic bracelet. I can remove to easily to clean but since Ive used it it doesnt come off easily anymore or it starts to hurt if it does so I can make needed adjustments. Thanks for your help unfortunately I have lost alot of trust for the health care industry as a whole and especially big pharma. I see more more and people seeking their own care do to this new mistrust and high expense. I appreciate it very much. Thanks

I will have to pick some up! I only have mediums. I like to size up on the mallet finger hand so the gloves are not too tight.

why is there not a hard type cast for mallet finger? Mine keeps falling off during sleep and activities..

Mallets can be made from cast material such as the blue one I have on my small finger. Sounds like you need one custom made for you if yours keeps falling off. Of you need a smaller size or it needs to be adjusted.
