I remember reading the comic years ago, and in the comic the transformation wasn't "halted by willpower" but rather the transformation was triggered by the person's strongest desire. The reason the guy who tried to bungee jump without a rope in the beginning didn't transform was because his depression removed most of his worldly desires (which is shockingly medically accurate, kudos to the writer.) His only desire after moving there was to live a quiet life as a normal human, and transforming into a monster would not benefit that desire in anyway, in fact it would make it impossible. That's why he didn't change: there was nothing he could change into that would achieve his desire.

Sweet Home is the closest Ive seen to a live action TV series successfully making a show that is an anime. Like this looks like something from Parasyte, except this is done better than the parasyte live action.

Anyone who thinks Seo's fiancé is Shady? Shady volunteered to be experimented on a military lab and was able to get away after he was able to control his mutation. Seo's fiancé also volunteered to be experimented but disappeared after 15 days, the time required to be a special mutation. Cha lost his memory after reverting from a transformation. Is it possible that Shady partially lost his memory after he was able to control his mutation? Season 2 awaits.

I feel like the transformations are a reflexion of the personnality, actions or desire of the infected. -The flash monster for example is probably a man who wanted to be the fasted pf the world. - The lady at the beggining was making a weight reducing program despite the fact that she's constantly hungry. When becoming a monster, she beggins to ate everythig that is atible (even if it's rot, raw, alive, etc...).

I watched this on net flix and read the web comic its really good actual. However i feel like the live action series did the monsters a disservice as it made them seem mindless but the monsters where quite intelligent in the web comic.

MY GOD did the writers had to look like they ran out of idea to kill off some characters by adding Shady, the stereotypical skinny edgy emo boy who thinks he's superior than others, to kill all of those good characters that have better growth arcs than he himself, AND THEN KILLING THAT EMO TWINK RIGHT OFF THE BAT JUST TO RESURRECT HIM AGAIN AS IF HE WASN'T INSUFFERABLE ENOUGH.
