I love that people recognise this song for the masterpiece it is but make no mistake, this is the song of a lifetime, a millennium, an eternity. It will never not be relevant, it can never not be relevant. She sings with such tortured conviction from a place of experience that cover versions of this cannot replicate. I actually think those songs just shouldn't be compared at all. This is America is a masterpiece esp as a package with the videowork but of course stylistically completely different...
