In this video, I'm sharing my experience living in France, dealing with visa struggles, car repairs, and new delicious eats. Life in France is definitely not easy, but it's so worth it!

Hello to my two favourite men. Another nice restaurant you have visited. The charcuterie board looked so good, and what was in the desert apart from chocolate ? Something I’ve noticed about small French towns and villages there do not seem to have many people walking about during the day. ( just a wee observation ). I hope both your medicals and everything went well for your French visas. Good luck lads. X🇨🇮

Yes all is going well with the visa application thank you! Yeahp majority of people are working on their farms and also a lot of people have their second home in the countryside to escape from the city hustle and bustle during the holidays, so that means a lot of houses are empty rest of the time. It was a lemon curd with chocolate delicious 😋🥰🙂

The food in that restaurant looked so good!! One of the perks of being in France is that there is often a good neighborhood restaurant in so many of its towns. 😊

Canadian here. The poutine looked good except that the cheese is wrong. It should be squeaky cheese aka cheese curds. Basic poutine is fries, gravy and squeaky cheese. Other toppings are just yummy extras. ❤️🇨🇦

Oh that meal looked delicious! I'm so glad that today is an eating day for me!!! I've been doing a "fasting" or really a liquid day, basically, tea, bonox and diet drinks one day and just regular eating the next day. I've been doing it for a month and a half now and have lost 10kg so far, many many many to go!! Sometimes its really really difficult to watch anything to do with food on a noneating day, but actually what I have found, is that I am now more interested in actually making sure the food I do eat on eating day, is the best I can find and even though I am not really a cook and hate grocery shopping, I've gotten back into cooking interesting meals for myself. Its funny though, even though you want to eat more, you actually find you physically can't. So that is good. I just love your little pugs, they are so cute and adorable. I would like to reach through the screen to give them a hug and kiss their smooshy little faces :)

Aww thank you and they would love the cuddles! They are so sociable! Yes I am a fan of fasting it makes you be more conscious on what you eat. I would recommend on you doing more research on if diet drinks help out on IF. I think they have a certain chemical that actually makes you hungrier. Black coffee, Water, Tea they keep you going w/o breaking your fast. And doing the 16:8 diet with good healthy food and lots of walking will do some good. Great on loosing 10kg, I need to loose 10kg as well. I really like how this dr explains what’s goes on in our bodies when dieting and how to achieve a good balance of healthy eating and what’s best for you. youtube.com/@DrEricBergDC all the best on your journey 🙌🏼💪🏼👍🏼😁 and consistency is the key 😉

@@twopuffsandapug thanks Andrew I will check it out. I think I mention before I have had cancer twice in the past four years and my cancer is estrogen positive, which unfortunately for me, means the more weight I carry the more likely it is for cancer to start forming somewhere in my body!!! I am currently on Immunology medication which "turns" off the estrogen being produced, from my renal system, as I no longer have the "other" system lol! That comes with a whole lot of other complications! Mostly burning hot like a blooming furnace, which is not much fun in a hot Australian summer I can tell you. I am hoping that eventually, I will only need to fast one maybe two days per week to maintain a healthy weight, so that is absolutely doable. And having tried every diet and obesity surgery too, I can lose weight but nothing has been successful in keeping it off long term. Its a drama, but what can you do but keep on going.

God not at all it’s so hot down under! Well you are a fighter so keep on going! A keto diet with IF is great combination for some people. Sugar is really really bad so if you try eliminating it as much as possible it would help. But then again talk to your doctors about it since you are on the medication, and we are not 😊👍🏼

Usually we are out in the day or at lunch where people are out at work in the larger towns or in for lunch. Lunch and dinner is much more the same time for people in France with businesses still shutting for lunch in some places

Poutine in Canada is typically cheese curds and beef gravy, although over the years it has taken on other cheeses and added ingredients. People who love poutine want it the original way with just the cheese curds and beef gravy. I have seen it with other cheeses such as cheddar, fetta and mozzarella. I have also seen it with chicken or other meats, but that's just people making their own version of the original. What was in the one you ate, because it looked like there was other ingredients?

i am not sure it was like the original more of a sticky sauce than a gravy and with melted hard cheese rather the the curd! so i still have to try the original :)

I am a big sausage and chips and gravy fan in the UK so though this might be the dish for me! it wasn't really a gravy more of a sweet sticky sauce so you might like this one

The original Poutine came from Quebec, Canada and consists of twice fried french fried potatoes, cheese curds, and brown gravy. Now everything has gone gourmand by adding whatever takes your fancy. I am lucky because we have a potate frit stand which specializes in them as well as steamed hot dogs. The babies are growing so fast. Are they microchipped and do they wear ID collars all the time. Hahah yummy! Yeah I did try some amazing Poutine when in Canada. Steamed hot dogs love, Andrew loves the Panamanian hot dogs and we have them often. They are microchipped and they have their apple tags as well! ☺️ but they are always with us 🥰

Not as weird as when you arrive as a tourist in the US and customs officers ask you if you have ever commited a crime? And if you are willing to commit a crime in the US?...euh sorry I am just here to visit NY.... Each country has its own visa policies and for each foreigners it is a struggle. France is not as weird as many other.

Yes the us customs is strange, we generally fly from Ireland to the US now as the customs are done before you fly and seems much better than the huge lines at the other end

@@twopuffsandapug I know I worked as a flight attendant for an Irish Airlines years ago. Way much easier indeed. I know you must be surrounded by french friends but if you ever need any help. Feel free to ask I live in Paris. I know how sometime it feel being a "foreigner" and having to deal with all the crazy papers. No ideal really was a sticky sweet sauce and hard cheese so I think it is an adaptation! it was very yummy but not the real thing i think
