Naina Devi Temple was constructed by her husband Sahil Verman in 920 AD Chamba Town also made by Sahil verman (Bharmour to Chamba) . He has 10 sons and a daughter( champavati) he lost his 9 sons during construction of Lakshmi Narayn Temple. (Chamba from Champavati)❣️

La means a Pass in Tibetan language is called Jot in Himachal Pradesh - like Chamba Jot , Rohtang Jot .Chamba Jot connects the beautiful valleys - one one side Kangra through the Chowari valley - Beas river basin and on the other the Chamba valley through Khajjiar - Ravi river basin .--------------------- Kangra Valley including Chamba Jot and hills of Dalhousie are situated in an area called Bari Doab - meaning land between Rivers Beas and Ravi.Area between River Beas and River Sutlej is called Bist Doab .---------------------------- When the British also annexed Kashmir after defeating the Sikhs in the First Anglo Sikh War in 1845-1846 the British made River Ravi as the demarcation between Jammu and Kashmir and British Punjab.But one notable exception was made in the case of the town of Chamba . Chamba town with the Maharaja's Palace / the famous Chaugan is on the Right Bank side of River Ravi .--------------------------------------------- In 1846 , British sold the entire Kashmir to Maharaja Gulab Singh for 75 lakh Nanakshahi Rupees . Maybe this was worked out as the cost of the war or calculated @ Re.1 per Kashmiri citizen.------------------Pakistan wrongly argues that had Gurdaspur district , including Pathankot gone to Pakistan then India would have had no connectivity to Jammu and Kashmir. India would have got that road link via Chamba Princely State .

Hello Harish Sir, I am down with covid and on bed rest but watched your whole Himachal series everyday one or two episodes. I travelled to every place you visit through your videos. Your videos and places you visit were very beautiful, call and peaceful. Also learnt from you that whenever we are at a new place we must try the local food (like Dham in Himachal). Now after this last episode, i felt emotional as the journey ended. I hope I will also visit these places with my family at least once in my lifetime. khajjiar/dainkund/kalatop is really superb place, i have been to same place 2009 with my wife,aapke video dekh ke purani yaadein taaza ho gayi,aapko khajjiar me jyada time dena chahiye tha, vaha shiv ji ki ek bahut hi badi moorti he, kala top wild me walk karna chahiye tha, video is best and informative, chamba is really historical n cultural town

Harsh ji I saw all.The 12epi.of your himachal TOUR.Beyond praise. I m from himachal and have visited most of the places you visited.But your style of explaining is marvellous. You touch every thing which even tourists miss.One feels as if he is a member of your team and visiting the place personally. Thanks a lot and keep it up.

Also harish ji thanks for the memories of himachal.. I hv visited himachal 100 times in my life esp. Dalhousie, Kangra dist. Mclo, Dharamshala and now I will definitely visit Chamba.. In January 2020 I stayed at Grand view .. it's an amazing hotel with good food

Great episode. Loved it. This particular series started slowly but gradually picked up speed and ended in a high note. Overall enjoyable series indeed. Waiting eagerly for Karnataka series.

Whole series of Himachal is so beautiful and enchanting that I could not stop myself from planning a trip to explore it myself wish to see Chamba, Bharmour, Khajjiar and Dalhousie ...Thanks for such motivation
