Dudley Zoological Gardens is a 40-acre zoo located within the grounds of Dudley Castle in the town of Dudley, in the Black Country region of the West Midlands, England. The Zoo opened to the public on 18 May 1937.
This zoo garden is a home to more than 1300 animals. Hundreds of exotic and endangered animals inhabit an ancient wooded hillside, with a rich geological history, around the ruins of the 11th century Dudley Castle.
During our walk through the garden we have seen the followings: Bush dog, Capuchin Monkey (Yellow-breasted), Camel (Bactrian), Capybara, Chimpanzee, Cockatoo (Goffin’s), Flamingo, Ferret, Giraffe (Rothschild’s Giraffe), Kookaburra, Lemur (Black Lemur), Lemur (Black-and-white-ruffed), Lemur (Red-Ruffed), Lynx (Carpathian), Macaque (Sulawesi Crested), Peacock (Indian blue), Peacock (Indian blue), Sea Lion, Tiger (Sumatran), Tortoise (Hermann’s Tortoise), Penguin etc.
We recommend visiting this place, especially when you want to get chilled after a hard working week.
Address: Castle Hill, Dudley DY1 4QF / UK
