I think they are gonna rebuild it but tbh I don't think thats right as then it looses what made it special as it was all 100% original and untouched. they have already destroyed a unique building and it would be much better investing the little money they have into the remaining stuff to ensure it doesn't burn down again and is more stable.
@jerenmyers9608

That man caused the fire by using the old electrical lines without checking it in a building from like 1875. He acted like the victim but quite literally if he wasn't there it wouldn't have burnt down and that history wouldn't have been lost. This guy could spend 1.4 mil on the purchase but not any extra to do surely the most basic thing.

William "Billy" Crapo (pronounced Cray-Poe) was a well educated French Canadian, and a well-respected civil engineer who had spent many years working in the Cerro Gordo mines. Crapo opened fire killing Henry Boland and wounding John Thomas on December 29, 1892, as they walked past his cabin yelling personal insults in his direction. A posse was formed, but Crapo escaped into the wilderness and was never seen again making this the last shootout in Cerro Gordo...

That Demerris fella appeared in at least one of Brent's videos. He asked him to come up and do some blasting for him, to reopen an old mine shaft. And I doubt you could've found an insurance company that would've written a policy for that old hotel. They're in a wild fire zone with no nearby water, and the hotel was one inspection away from being condemned.

Hindsight is so obvious. I'm glad someone decent like brent took control of the town and not someone so cynical that they can only see the value of a single building on such a large and historic property. Else you're in it for the wrong reasons. The fact that it burnt down sucks and they probably could have been more careful. But it clearly means a lot to them and it's awesome on their part for rebuilding it with the original plans. Keep in mind the property was barely maintained at all previously. If you think you could do this with the same amount of care and transparency that they've put into it while sharing it on youtube and have even fewer mistakes then please do because your current job is a waste of your talents.

It’s a real shame the pride and joy of that property burned to the ground. Now it seems like that was most definitely a waste of $1.4 million

I mean duh it's not haunted. If telling someone that ghosts are real makes them want to visit a place then they deserve to be disappointed. The news people are the ones making it sound haunted in this video and the old guy is only a caretaker and not an owner. On the other hand, the history of the place is not made up and whether someone believes in ghosts or not they can still get something out of the stories. Brent, the owner, said here he didn't believe in ghosts though, he does entertain the possibility for the sake of creating interesting content for those people who do even saying that he is a little creeped out by it now. But even if he started faking the ghost part for the sole sake of promotion does not make the stories made up.
