Күн бұрынJoin the ultimate visit to discover the KTM X-Bow GT-XR! I'm at the home of KTM in Graz, Austria, to visit the showroom, explore the assembly line to see the production, and a first drive at the wheel of the X-Bow GT-XR. There's a lot to take in, and a crazy experience to unravel!
KTM are based in Graz, Austria, and really kicked into life with cars with the original X-bow in 2008. The car evolved over time before the introduction of the X-Bow GT2 which has now spawned the GT-X, and the road going GT-XR - the closest you can get to a purebred race car in a road-legal vehicle.
Weighing a mere 1,130kg dry (1,250kg wet) yet boasting 500ps from the Audi-sourced 2.5l turbo 5-cylinder and immense downforce, you can bet it's quite the driving experience. However, before we head out to the road, our first step is to visit the assembly line and discover the innovation processes in use for the GT-XR, despite the fairly limited number production run.
Then it's time to drive! For the purpose we have a satin exposed-carbon version of the KTM X-Bow GT-XR, and the immensely cool experience begins even by entry to the car with the automated cockpit cabin. Undeniably, this is a genuine race car that you can legally drive on the road; the cabin feeling, the pedal pressure required on the brake, the gearbox, and all the sensations that come from driving it.

Saw a yellow version in person in Gratz last year parked in front of a restaurant. I got to talk to the person driving it and it turned out to be one of the VPs. He told me the factory was close by. Truly epic!!!!

I had to fact check this and your right. Even with a V12 in it, the t50 weight 997kg. This is at 1220kg.

went for a drive as passenger in this on a track a couple weeks ago . i was stunned by the absolute crazy amount of details in the car , the carbon , the handeling on the track , and so much more. i hope my friend who drove it buys one :)

Ya, gt4 rs is miles ahead of this car. But if they had same engine in this car it would be a lot better. Just wish the rs was closer to this weight. It’s not heavy but it’s too bad modern light sprints cars can’t be in the mid 2k range. I just sold a turbo Miata. It was 2170lbs… 240whp., not a bad car for sure, but my buddies gt4 is just so much nicer and more refined etc etc.

@@damonm3 Hey, I'm thinking you are referring to the Porsche GT4.. I was talking about the the KTM GT4- there little race car that came out some time after their open top road car. Its in the background of the video and is the car seen just before Shmee gets to the featured GT cars. Kinda looks like a smaller version of the featured car. Like a mini Batmobile. Theres some kool videos of this car doing its thing on track via POV. Proper weapon and in a different league to the Porsche GT4- as awesome as it is! I'm not sure if KTM makes their GT4 for the road but if they did I reckon it would be a ton of fun!
