Absolutely! The lightrail is a super easy and affordable way to get into the city from the airport - you should into that for getting into downtown Seattle on your layover. It connects the airport terminal directly to the heart of Seattle where Pike's Place Market and the shopping centers are!

@@Phamever thats a bad time during covid everywhere.In our country the goverment hopes they give all people the vaccine and they will open the shops after that and nobody get sick again,we will see what happends.I has from the begining to today no covid symptoms i´m fine.The worst thing i have seen is the homeless people,i never was homeless,i work in a chemistry company we have work all day long.We have homeless too but not like this was filming other youtuber in Seattle,we have facilities,we have Food trucks there drives around give this people medicine hot coffee or Tee something to eat warm soup. How safe is the City at night or is there a exit lock at night ? We have it in bavaria from 9pm to 5am thats ok but i think in april or may we will open the stores and others for free time.grocery store have open at all 6 days sunday is closed.I need a haircut in a couple of week

@@you2bevsgoogle Seattle's Covid infection rate is much lower than the rest of the US and Europe right now, but we are still technically under quarantine so not everything is fully open yet. Restaurants, retail and grocery stores are opened at 25% capacity so there are still some things to do. We have a lot of outdoors activities here so most people are taking advantage of the outdoors right now. We have lots of seafood that can be caught directly from the waters along our shores, so people have been fishing, squidding and soon to be crabbing and shellfish scavenging when the season starts in the coming months. I think it will be another year or so before Seattle will be back to it's glory, that's if vaccination goes as planned - we can't wait to welcome visitors back once covid is under control!

That's awesome to hear it helped you guys with getting a feel for what to expect! I didn't have time to squeeze Capitol Hill and University District into the day, but I do hang out in those areas regularly and they're definitely not as busy and packed as pre-Covid, but they are completely safe with plenty of restaurants/bars/shops open. The energy is definitely not as fun at the moment as most clubs/bars aren't open late into the night so not a ton of people like before, but the area's character/personality is still there! I would recommend staying somewhere downtown near Westlake Center as that is the center of the city and will allow you to explore many of the touristy things by foot easily. I recommend staying at any of the Hyatt hotels around Westlake if there are good rates, they're pretty close to everything and have nice rooms. I would check the weather and see if roads to Mount Rainier are clear before driving all the way there, but the trees are starting to change colors so it'll be beautiful. @@rubinobolkeim4193 Yes - around International Market I like to go to Lam's Seafood or Viet Wah for more hard to find Asian ingredients. If you're North of Seattle there's Asian Family Market in Shoreline that's good. Edmonds/Lynnwood there's Ranch 99 and Hmart. If you're South of Seattle there's also a Ranch 99 and Lam's Seafood in Southcenter and Kent. Goodluck shopping!

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience during the height of the pandemic, but I actually appreciate the mask mandates - it’s the reason why we are one of the few major cities that have consistently kept covid in check and keep residents safe. Not to mention businesses are able to operate and our local economy is able to rebound again (one of few US cities with strong and increasing economy currently) due to people here willingly implementing mask and social distancing rules. Other than the homeless situation (also reduced drastically from pre-pandemic) - which I frankly feel is a problem with any major city, I would hardly describe Seattle as a mess right now. Considering what’s going on in other areas of the country, Seattle is very calm and organized...
