Man it was 4 and 5 of December 1997 when Black Sabbath did their reunion in Birmingham NEC. I was studying in UK that time. I was there on 5th of December. What a night I'll never forget it. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. A year before I was in high school here in Athens. Then on 20th of June 1998 I saw Black Sababth again on milton keynes bowl arena at ozzfest 98. 50000 people it was amazing. Then in 2005 I saw them again in terra vibe in Greece. In 2007 I saw Ozzy on wembley arena with Black Label Society, 2 more times I had the opportunity to see Ozzy in terra vibe in 2010-2012. And the most beautiful I had, was on 5th of February in 2017 in Birmingham at their last day they did in their hometown. I also had a photo with the band, I was at the Q n A session with Ozzy and I was first row at the show listening to under the sun and all the other legendary songs. Οι Sabbath και ο Ozzy με συνόδεψαν σε όλη μου τη ζωή απο τα νειάτα μου μέχρι τώρα. Έχω να θυμάμαι. Να είσαι απο κάτω και να βλέπεις τον Ozzy να δίνει...

Birmingham.. my home town.. where metal was born and icons made..ozzy grew up in Aston in Birmingham where I was from..glad you got to see the bridge on Broad Street..The crown sadly closed down in 2014 but is being restored soon as a live music venue.... I will travel back up when it's completed..🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Its all changed massively over the years. Brum was such a melting pot of music in the 60s/70s/80s. Just up from the bridge was the Rum Runner club where Magnum and later Duran Duran were house bands - Dexys used to practice there as well - often next door to Duran! Then over the road was Barberella's where some fantastic bands played - both now sadly gone as well.
