Everything was very topsy-turvy plant wise here in Jersey before the cold spell last week. I saw my first daffodils in November, and apple trees were showing blossom in October. The broad beans were just about to flower when that cold weather struck (no use without bees to pollinate them), and I'll have my first rose of summer (Rosa banksia) in a week or so by the look of the buds! I imagine a lot of insects will be caught out by the spring like weather due this weekend as well.
