The 2023 #Ducati #Streetfighter #V4 S is a gentle update of the original machine launched seconds before covid-19 landed in 2020. It’s got a raft of small updates for this year, most of which are inspired by the Ducati #Panigale V4 S we rode in 2022. What Ducati have done though is tailor the changes for this hyper-naked machine - it is not simply a cut, copy, paste type of update. The changes start with the engine and end with the bodywork and fuel tank and cover things like the exhaust, cooling system, electric controls, and suspension settings. It is though still a fire-breathing 208hp (205bhp) monster. An intimidating bike to look at, let alone ride!
For this track test, we flew to the tricky Andalucia circuit in southern Spain, where we'd get to sample the 208hp super naked in all its fire-breathing glory.

I've test ridden Streetfighter V4 back in 2020 when they first came out, including taking it up to it's top speed. I'll probably release the footage later. What really astonished me is the superb handling it has at any speeds, the ease of riding, and especially the unbelievable stability and maneuverability at high speeds, which I never encountered on any other motorcycles before (and I tested a lot of them). So, yeah, Streetfighter V4 is truly AMAZING bike in this sense. But at the same time it's extremely impractical, boring and uncomfortable (due to vibrations) to ride at sensible speeds, fuel thirsty because of the unreasonably high gearing, and very physically painful to ride at high speeds due to aerodynamic pressure pushing my helmet against my face. Therefore, my conclusion on Ducati Streetfighter V4: it is extremely cool and fun bike to take for a test ride for a couple of hours, but it's really not good and pointless bike to own and daily ride. And if you want a bike with almost the same level of handling, speed, and fun, but at the same time comfortable, practical, versatile, and awesome to ride almost everywhere - get a Multistrada V4 than. But that's for another story.

The streetfighter, multi and Daivel V4 all very different bikes and purpose. None are better than the other. Just pick the one that fits your passion best.

@@kj385, Multistrada V4 is MUCH better than both Streetfighter V4 and Diavel V4. More than that, Multistrada V4 is the only practical motorcycle out of this three - while other two are just two-wheeled toys really.

@@motocritic That’s why for a practical sport tourer I got a the new Ktm super adventure S. Rode multi v4 several times. Great bike, but 30 mpg for touring is not practical. And I’m still going to add the streetfighter to the collection. 😁

The red Ducati you present us in this video is not the 2023 model! The new model year got an updated tank shape, a two-color seat, black radiator covers, a new display unit, and a detachable clutch cover.

Ducati: let's take the Panigale, remove lots of useful stuff from it, slap on a handlebar, reduce the power, and advertise it as a "track bike" for the street. Huh?!!!!!

This is not a bikers bike... Its a wealthy persons piece of garage glitter. Cleaned & polished twice as much as it would be ridden. Simply too expensive for its own good!

Very disappointed you didn't ride it a few laps with everything electronic switched to off. That would give a true picture of how 208hp is an ego stroking joke in a road bike even on the track let alone the road.

Lets also put 20 year old tyres on and leaded fuel in! Or maybe let's just accept modern technology and appreciate this 208hp weapon which is perfectly fine to ride on a public road.

@@Ozmeister666 exactly what I said . Let’s let a computer limit the horsepower and torque so we can pretend we are enjoying 208 hp on the road . The fact you can turn everything off by design means the testing should have tried it that way . Why he didn’t is 208 hp on the track is only any use to a A grade racer on the road it’s a joke.
