This is a quick video that I shot of the beautiful mid-century modern homes in the Vista Las Palmas neighborhood of Palm Springs, CA. Construction crews have been lining the streets over the past several months as many homeowners are remodeling and, in many cases, taking the homes down to the studs and restoring these architectural works of art back to their original grandeur.
Location:
West of North Palm Canyon Drive (Hwy !!!) off of Alejo. West of Old Las Palmas tucked at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains.

Dads old house was at 700 Stevens Rd, it was a mid century when he 1st bought it in 76... but had it knocked it down after the house was literally falling apart around him. He ended up building a huge 13000 sq ft home on the 2 lots he owned, added a 2nd story a few years later, and finally moved to rancho mirage to a gated community after dealing with several incidents of people trespassing and no longer feeling safe. I miss that house.😥 As a kid, i could roller skate from one end of the house to the other because it had marble tile floors throughout. Great memories. 😥😘

2:08 Not mid century, but designed as such. Belonged to a Dr,who was my fathers neighbor. I remember the house was built in the mid 80s.
