@@divyasa4745 If its your first time i recommend using it every other night to see if it works for you. As this product is pretty gentle I doubt you will have any issues :) It is totally ok to use for a 16 year old as well! I used it for my acne and pigmentation and it worked well for both those issues. Now I use it every night! I saw results before even using up my first bottle but I'm sure its different for everyone :) Hope this helps!!

Thank you for pointing out it's instability. Vitamin C is over blown, and while you will see some benefits, they are often short lived thus you have to keep buying endlessly or your skin will go back to how it was prior. You see this 100% of times with people who buy it for dark spots and wrinkles. People think the dark spots and wrinkles are gone., they move on to another product, and the same spots and wrinkles come back soon after. It's a temporary fix that can end up costing you more money than it's worth. Even the more stable derivative will have temporary benefits. As you said the instability of vitamin C means you may end up with a product with a much shorter shelf-life and benefit than you though and it's really hard to say when the vitamin C will turn and is no longer going to be giving you any benefit. This can be from as soon as a few days of opening your product to a few weeks. If the product lets say changes color, loses or changes odor that likely means the vitamin C has now expired and thus has lost it's potency. Which means if you spent $50 on a cream or serum that boasts vitamin C as it's main active ingredient and it turned within that first week, you now have a very expensive bottle of mostly wasted product. I find that tea extracts and some plant extracts can get the job done and are a lot more stable. Load up on products that contain a lot of antioxidants to protect your skin and always use sunscreen to avoid further damage! However I do want to add that there is no cream, or serum on gods green earth that will ever totally get rid of all your dark spots and wrinkles permanently. The more damaged an area is the deeper into the tissue that damage has occurred at. Topical products can not absorb deep enough into the tissue and reach the damaged layer where some of these issues stem from. So essentially you will see some of these spots and wrinkles come back up and surface over time. If you have the money to get professional (at a dermatologist office, not a spa and definitely not at home if it is over 0.25ml) micro-needling done to treat dark spots, wrinkles and see far longer lasting benefits it's worth the money. It's the closest thing to permanently reducing those problems.

I tried the Vitamin C serum from Pixi and I noticed that it turns dark orange really fast. It feels great when you first open the bottle (it’s light yellow and it feels really smooth and nice) but after few weeks, it gets ticker and feels less smooth than usual. I tried storing it differently when I got my second bottle but it changed colors quite fast, just like the first bottle that I got so I gave up on it.

At first it caused some irritation but after almost 8 months of regular use, I see that my pores are less visible with a brighter and even face tone. I absolutely agree with the information provided and have noticed that different climates also affect my skin and the results.

Ole Hendrikesen spend so much money on ‘pretty’ packaging, PR, advertising, taking a load of influencers on mega expensive trips often etc that I think they’re a brand that are more for looking pretty on your dressing table rather than actually being cult products that work really well. They also seem to use makeup vloggers instead of skin care gurus to promote them. For vitamin c, retinol and serums I like a more clinical brand. They might have good products but don’t rule other brands out for Ole Hendirksen.

I use vitamin C (PC Booster) mixed with my essence after toner (I mix my niacinamide (PC booster) with my toner) and AHA/BHA leave on exfoliator. Then I use the Klairs vitamin C serum and top it off with the Klairs vitamin E mask/jelly. This is during the day. I use a retinoid at night instead of Klairs vitamin C serum. I'm 30 yrs old with sun damaged skin (dark spots) on the top of my cheeks, my forehead and upper lip area. Vitamin C and Niacinamide has helped a lot with the problem along with brighter skin overall and poresize is decreasing. I don't have a lot of wrinkles but the skin is more plump. My acne scars fades quicker and becomes smaller. I wish I knew about vitamin C when I was younger. I needed vitamin C when I was in my early 20's. Thank you for the lovely videos, I learn so much from you!

I’ve tried a few others but I haven’t found anything that works better and I enjoy more with my skin. I started using it in my early twenties because I was had a lot of late nights out drinking and it showed in my skin. It was very dry, dull and uneven in color and texture. But I continue to use it because my skin is plump, hydrated, bright and glowing. Definitely a holy grail for me.

God I’ve been OBSESSED with the Skin Inc -My Daily Dose of ABC+ serum cuz it literally has everything I need in one bottle. It has MAP as vitamin C as well as Niacinimide and Hylauranic Acid and Retinyl. Like literally the ABCs of skincare. My skin was going through roseaca for almost 6 months before landing on My Daily Dose of ABC+ and I swear after only 3 days my skin was going right back to normal. To this day I’m still getting complements on my skin and questions about what I’ve been doing differently. I feel like I have my teenaged skin back (after acne of course). I have tried the Skin Inc - My Daily Dose of Glow serum but my skin didn’t like the formula as much as the ABC+ formula I think because the Glow formula doesn’t use Vitamin C...it uses Chlorella to brighten instead.

Would guys be interested in doing a skin care ingredient series where you talk about certain ingredients and what they do e.g. emollients, surfactants, humectants and commonly comedogenic ingredients even though the product claims it’s non-comedogenic because recently I used a product with isopropyl isostearate and it messed up my whole life! I’d really like a comprehensive collection of ingredients to look out for good and bad thanks! Love your channel ❤️

arvin pedregosa hi! 👋🏼 Do you use the Vitamin C before or after Toning? I’m using this combination as well Is it true that it’s better to layer the Vitamine C after cleaning and wait 15 mins? then I can tone my skin and use the rest of products They are saying that Vitamine C absorbs better when the skin is acidic and water creates that effect after cleansing. Which step of your routine do you use it? Do you apply it AM or PM? Thank you 😉

For my personal experience, I find toning put on first is effective as what most skincare enthusiast are doing. Regardless of what product you put on. It’s prepping your face prior to putting any products. Since I have oily skin and I’m exposed to the Sun most of the daytime, I use this combination only at night time. My normal skincare routine at night would be first: 1.Cleansing my face with foam and water (At times I double cleanse with cleansing oil prior to foam and water when I feel like foam and water is not enough) 2. I tone my face 3. I apply Hyaluronic Acid (also from The Ordinary) this time I wait for 15 minutes every after each product I use for better absorption. 4. I apply The Ordinary Ascorbic powder and Reservatrol Combination and wait again for 15 minutes. 5. And finally, The Ordinary RoseHip Oil. With regards to if the Vit. C best applied when the skin is acidic after cleansing. That I really don’t have any idea. Honestly it’s ny first time to hear it from you. :)

I finished 1 jar of their Hydrating Night Cream about 6 mo ago, I'd say it's good for winter or someone who really needs hydration on their skin (might be used as a sleeping mask for normal-oily skin type). The texture is v thiccc especially for someone who lives in a humid area like me.... but overall, most of Derma E products are affordable, parabens free, gluten free, gmo free, vegan free, cruelty free, soy free,... what else that's free? LOLL I got a deal at Walgreens, buy 2 get 1 free so.... hahaha Would I buy it again? Maybe not, becoz I'm pretty explorative with my skincare, I wanna try out other products too HAHA Would I recommend it? Of course, I just did it here hahaha

I use their vitamin C serum morning and night and I love it!! It’s very hydrating and works well under makeup. Ive been using it for probably a year now. I think it’s done a great job at evening out my skin tone, particularly redness and hyperpigmentation, but it’s a low concentration so it’s not a dramatic effect. It’s very gentle for sensitive skin, though. They also say it contains all stable derivatives of Vitamin C so it’ll actually penetrate the skin.

I have a new found love for vitamin c. I tried niacinamide and vitamin a, but my biggest noticable difference came from using vitamin c. I bought the ordinary vitamin c 12% and was playing around with it but then I was abroad and didn't have anything else to play with so I used vitamin c every day for 3 weeks. My skin texture was smooth and bright I also noticed my skin being more tight. I had a month break because I used up the product and now bought the ordinary 23%. It's definitely tingling and if you lick your face accidentally it tastes like lemon, also texture is a bit grainy. I used it for over a week and can see the difference already. Woke up today to tight bright skin and couldn't be happier. I found my jam. Thank you for your channel. Definitely can confirm if you use vitamin c every day for a few weeks you will see the difference. So happy

I love that you mentioned Dr. Dray! I used to watch her but her voice is so annoying 🙄 as is her dismissal of anything that doesn't have a bunch of randomized studies, despite the clear science as you ladies present it...and her dismissal of vitamin c is why I hadn't incorporated it. But, I'm 35 with skin texture issues (acne scars), I've noticed my skin is a little less bouncy, and I have PIE so I felt like I should research it again and reconsider since my skin really needs the collagen help and few products assist with that. I'm glad I did and will definitely incorporate it now!

Maelove vitamin C is the best. It is the dupe of SkinCeuticals vitamin C but is more reasonable in price ( I don't care so much for Timeless vitamin C because it has alcohol ingredient). What I do I split into two bottles (I purchase empty bottle from Vitamins store or Amazon). I store one in the fridge to maintain longer Storage. C & E Feurulic is the Monarch vitamin C which is what MAELOVE VITAMIN C is.

Vitamin e is not water soluble. In this case I think the use of alcohol is justified since otherwise they'll have to use a oil based solubilizer which could be even more problematic.

I was in Paris a few weeks ago at a pharmacy and saw a lot of La Roche Posay. I saw vitamin B oils but decided to try their Pure Vitamin C10 oil. The skin tech that helped me told me it's most helpful at night so I've been applying 3x a week at night. I love how easily it abosrbs into the skin and it feels so supple and smooth. The smell is clean and I like that it's not quite an oil but not quite a creme. Its in between.

After using vitamin c serums at ~15% for years I decided to up the ante because I’m noticing sunspots coming out as I age (I’m 27). I recently started using the Seoul Ceuticals 20% Day Glow Serum which has 20% vitamin c with hyaluronic acid, ferulic acid, vitamin e but it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin because it also contains a lot of soothing ingredients like centella asiatica. Supposedly it’s a dupe for the SkinCeuticals serum but for a fraction of the cost and with less irritating and more comforting ingredients. I’m excited to see if it will brighten my hyperpigmentation!
