Thank you so much for sharing these informations. I take a lot of PCOS suplements. I suspected that vitex could be causing some unexpected side effects. I'll talk to my doctor about this.

Very, very informative, thank you....I was using Vitex for a few weeks, didn't experience anything wrong but I just felt to stop... then after a year or two I started to take it again whilst doing further research. I think that when the body goes through side effects I don't think it's anything to do with what 'God has created for us through Nature', but what we eat, drink and our DNAs are different along with our thoughts. 🙏🏽

I am 43 and had a lot of period problems, irregular cycles, too long cycles, etc. After some research, I have used myo-inositol 4100 mg daily, vitex -40 mg daily and wild yam supplement -880 mg daily and also wild yam cream (a small quantity twice a day alternating the part of the body). They suggest to use any supplement to regulate the cycle for 3 months to see the results. However, after around 1 month, my cycle has arrived just on time and lasted 4 days, the next cycle was again regular. So it worked perfectly for me. The wild yam should be used 3 weeks and you should stop doing wild yam for 1 week every month (best to stop it on the first day of the cycle). For PCOS, the best product I guess is the myo-inositol together with vitamin B6 (which helps to the liver to trash the extra oestrogen).

So, take that into consideration and work a specialist like I suggested in the video, to get a more precise set of herbs for you.

My fertility doctor found my FSH is elevated at 23, do you think Vitex would be good for me? Have lots of skin and bloating issues, rosacea, hives, IBS. Haven’t been able to get pregnant. All started after a miscarriage 5 yrs ago now. I’m 42 yrs old. Periods are regular, about 25 day cycle every month.

Have you tried intermittent and some 72hr water fasts? Also look into NMN+TMG, how to boost sirtuins and clean up your cells? There's so much you can do to improve egg health, lower inflammation and boost fertility. I did keto, fasting and started boosting my cellular health with supplements. I had a massive improvement by taking 4000iu d3, omega 3 1000mg daily, ubiquinol 300mg, evening primrose oil 1000mg, fertility multi+extra folic, NMN 1gram daily+TMG 1 gram daily. Weight loss from Keto and fasting were the most effective based on my blood tests but following stress and regaining the weight I'm back to square one and trying to lower my tsh and prolactin with Vitex and Ashwaganda combined with a longevity lifestyle to repair DNA damage. Don't give up, you can turn this around.

I think it has to be evaluated on a case by case basis by an herbalist or doctor (MD or ND, depending on who you're working with). Since vitex acts on the pituitary, it has a direct impact on everything else that happens downstream as far as hormone production goes. Knowing your hormone levels will allow the doc or herbalist to decide whether both are needed and dosage can be adjusted accordingly.

It made me bleed inbetween periods and gave me itchy skin. Shame, as it worked well on reducing my hormonal breast pain. I was taking 1 x 4mg tablet a day.

Thanks for sharing this. Your experience highlights why I mentioned in the video that many herbalists say vitex is very, very dose-dependent. If you want to continue using it consult with an herbalist or naturopathic doctor.

High plz can you give me some advice, I have a regular period 27-28 day cycle but Iv been spotting bang on 1wk before period, I had a miscarriage 15mths ago and haven't been able to conceive since, since the spotting started my breast hurt nearly all month and iv got milk! Iv started taking vitex hoping this will help as I'm trying to conceive I'm 43 with 3 children youngest been 8, any advice would be greatly appreciated x

Have you seen a doctor to get a thorough hormone test done? Based on everything you've mentioned, it will help a great deal to know exactly where your hormones so that you can choose the right herbs (as well as any other complimentary therapies that may be needed).

Thank you so much for your reply, I have been to the doctors and she sent me for scans to see if is cyst ect but all came back clear, it's so frustrating not to know the cause as you can appreciate my clock is ticking so I'm hoping the vitex works as this is my last hope, iv read spotting is due to low progesterone is this the case? It's so hard to get into the doctors as the moment and are only taking phone appointments xx

I was diagnosed with Depleted ovarian reserve, Also I don’t have menstruation for 6-7 years. I am 40 years old at the moment. If you're trying to address things naturally, it's best to seek the help of a natural practitioner (doctor, herbalist, etc.) to come up with a customized diet and lifestyle plan for you. At that time they'll be able to assess if vitex makes sense for you.

Vitex's main action doesn't change from what I described in the video: it acts on the pituitary and affects hormones produces by ovaries. This small study mentions that it helps with some menopause-related symptoms, including hot flashes and anxiety: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6887765/ Also keep mind that during menopause you may benefit from using it combination with other herbs. An herbalist or naturopath can help you determine the best blend for you.

Probably eating a lot of sweet potatoes. I heard that people who don't really have a strong history of twins in their family, but tribes who eat a lot of sweet potatoes increase chances for twins. So a combination of vitex and sweet potatoes.
