The lute player looks as though he can feel the notes being plucked on his heart strings. This is the most beautiful recording of this beautiful piece.

I love it, it's very good. What did the original Vivaldi score say? In this version there are two lutes.

There is only one lute, the big one is a theorbo

At that time instruments were rarely imposed - often it was just written "dessus 1" - "dessus 2" meaning that you're free to play it with a violon, or a flute. In this case Vivaldi wrote violon 1, violon 2 and Lute, but the line of "basso continuo" has no indication : you can have a cello, a theorbo (actually here it is an archilute, not a theorbo), a harpsichord...
