The funny thing about the performance is they also announce SMT versions of these! The 4600u & 4800u will have 2x the number of threads and between 20 & 30% more performance!

Nice assessment! I appreciate the non-hype and thoughtful review. I just returned a HP laptop in order to purchase this one. I have the Lenovo C330 Chromebook and have always been amazed at the great build quality & performance of a $250 laptop. I hope this one impresses just as much!

Excellent review covering all aspects.. It's a delight to watch you explain. However I have one doubt about screen color. Does the screen have more of warm color profile.. The white screen looks a bit yellowish in video..? Or is it because u have enabled night mode.?

@@guyfhuyhdfuhdffhj using it right now. just installed a linux partition finally like a couple weeks ago. works fine still working and playing on it. typing is a dream. it will still clip and stutter once or twice while watching a video on any platform on both windows and linux. there was a driver fix or something in some video maybe even this one but am too lazy to find it or maybe i did it and that's how well it works.

@@migdafig9213 i bought mine from Curry’s PC World, which i think is a UK only chain, and i think the graphics card is just a standard built in AMD one, so you may have to do some research to find out further, but it works absolutely perfectly! the only annoying thing is that it’s soldered on so you can’t change it yourself, but it’s still perfectly fine!

@@Alaa-bi2ex Yes, when you have a look at what you get for what you pay - I still have money left to buy a QHD 2nd screen. The screen isn't that bright, but looks beautiful indoors.I got the Ryzen 7 5700u 16GB RAM w/ 256 SSD. It's just so nice to look at and I love the keyboard too. It's changed the way I work at my desk. If you are planning to be mobile, I'd go for something else though. But it's exactly what I wanted. A solid laptop that offers something different that will have a good re-sell value when I upgrade in 5 years or so.

Your channel and reviews are the reason I was able to narrow down my first laptop purchase. I'm happy to say I went with the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 AMD Ryzen 7 5700U (14") over the HP Envy x360. I got the Laptop, wireless mouse, touch pen, and 2 protection plans all for under $800 😁. Great deal imo 👍 👌.

Power button next to the delete key or power button integrated into the keyboard is really inconvenient. I totally agree with you. I don't know why so many reviewers say nothing about this issue.
