I remember listening to an interview Vivian did with Dean Delray and Vivian said that Gary Moore is his number 1 influence. I totally understand why Gary was cold to Vivian. The only reason Vivian has been in Def Leppard for over thirty years is the money. His talent is definitely wasted in Def Leppard.

There will never be another Gary Moore he is sorely missed, Randy Rhoads was a big fan too and I hear it in his playing, that says a lot.

Everything from GM is badass. Rock, Progressive, Hard Rock and the Blues, it was all within his musical grasp. I was onboard with his more rock/progressive solo output from the late 70's to the mid 80's. His on/off/fill-in time in TL created some great rock. His friendship with PL ran deep. Treat anything with him in TL like gold. One of the best live shows I've seen of him in TL is the Sydney waterfront show. He fills-in for whomever was the other regular guitarist at that time and freakin' kills it. If you have never seen this gem I would highly recommend it. Him and SG are on fire here as a dynamic duo like no other. A true GM moment...

cool stories, Vivian is an awesome guitarist saw him with Dio, Whitesnake and the last version of Lizzy. I saw Gary perform a bunch of times, first time was when he was with Greg Lake. Gary would come to the music store I worked at when he was in NYC, he was never particularly friendly, even a bit surly but we loved him anyway. Gary's playing was just mind blowing. I saw him at Lamour in Brooklyn in 1984 he played almost everything on Corridors of Power and Victims of the Future. Man, I miss him. RIP Gary

Seen Gary Moore on his still got the blues tour at the Palladium in New York City it was the only time I ever seen a guitarist get three standing ovation during a solo !RIP Gary & Phil Ireland finest!

Its funny what you said about vivian's place in def leppard....I have watched a few live shows by them, and he just looks and feels like a very talented extra .....he never really rips!! Because as anyone who really knows him will testify too, he was a top shredder back in the day!!!

Moore must have had a momentary lapse of reason, because for all he knew, Campbell might have been playing waterboy for Lynott while he was recovering; either that or Campbell might have been wiping up Phil's puke.

Last in Line is a great tribute band you can see him play those Dio songs note for note.i mean it sounds like your listening to the album.the band sounds identical live playin those Dio songs.

I was tired of Def Leppard by the time Pyromania came out. I liked Krokus when I saw them with Ted Nugent in 1981. I heard Gary Moore on some radio show doing "End of the World" when "Corridors..." came out. So when I heard Def Leppard was coming to town with Krokus and special guest Gary Moore, I bought tickets. Then Joe Elliot lost his voice, they had to reschedule the show for a few months later and guess what? No Gary Moore opening. I was pissed, but the show was still good. Sucked that Joe lost his voice and I didn't get to see Gary. Bummer.

I feel the same way about Campbell's tenure in Leppard. He's great live but what has he done? Leppard has done nothing since the 80s either. Wasted talent.
