I read a couple comments about Foldable OS’s and I think we really need that video. A comparison between MagicOS, OxygenOS, HyperOS, OriginOS, and so on. A buyers guide between those who want the phones for multitasking or those who want them for consuming content/gaming Forgive me if I screwed up any of the OS names.

Loving all the fold 3 videos Mike. Of course it's the X Fold 1 videos that brought me here in the first place well over a year ago. Looking forward to the pro videos however I can't see how the pro can be worth 500 quid more than this for better cameras, 200mah more battery and a newer chip set which doesn't make much difference plus a heavier and thicker phone. Let's see your videos when it arrives and see if you agree or if the pro really is that good.

Thanks for your great efforts to highlight foldables from China. I just received my 1tb X fold 3 Pro. With regards to the use with wearables, I used an International version of Huawei GT4 watch to pair with the vivo and thus far, there is no issue.

Nice to see some foldable content. It’s a slow time of year for foldables and I can’t deal with rumours anymore. I want to see the phones in somebody’s hands….even if it can’t be me.

Great review - just waiting for you to give a view on battery life before I pull the trigger. Always been worried that using the full screen for work would drain the battery and notifications so never gone the foldable route - this device may change that if you think the battery will stand up?

Like the fingerprint on the side myself. The side of a phone never faces down. Please confirm only the 3 pro has wireless charge. Of note I hear that split screen orientation can now be horizontal or vertical. I can confirm this update has been done for the original Vivo x fold.

Is the smart watch issue a wear os issue or there is no smart watch at all that would work? I have a Huawei Watch gt 4 41 mm, the black one which is suppossed to be a chinese version even though it doesn't show in anything.... Would something like that work maybe?

How is the Vevo software currently the only Chinese phone I ever owned besides galaxies is the OnePlus 12 if the software is anything like the OnePlus 12 I wouldn't mind does Vevo do globals releases for their flagship

i have the vivo x90pro plus (Chinese version) and i love it my only problem is the android auto missing and android share doesn't work( didn't know that it will not work) the rest is great the only reason to upgrade for me is ,i have dropped the phone and there is a crack now otherwise i would keep it for 4-5 years i hope there is a global version or maybe wait for the mix fold 4

Good job. Would be interesting to see the interface of this Chinese ROM. How good is it comparing to Samsung's One UI. You probably know well enough benefits of One UI, gestures, split screen options etc. Also, battery of this Fold 3 should be important argument, since its better than in most foldable phones: current and some future ones, like Fold 6 which is gonna have about 4000-4500mAh battery again. So if you can measure how long battery lasts for ~rather active user with mixed usage, would be nice.

btw my friend found that vivo turns off the data after 5 mins of not being used and that is what delayed all his notifications if you need help finding that setting let me know ill ask him but he turned it off and he gets all his notifications now i wonder if all of them did that

The part of not being able to distinguish between SD8Gen2 and SD8Gen3 is not entirely correct in my opinion. I'm saying this because you specifically mentioned daily use case and gaming. While it might not be apparent in normal day to day, gaming using PS2 emulators for example, you can definitely tell the difference. I got a Red Magic 9 Pro with the SD8Gen3 mostly for this, and it's a very big difference when compared to the Gen2 in terms of performance. Also, I would say the new chip is still not optimized enough for the software, so it should get a bit better in time.
