@lguinancio Hello Iguinancio, and thank you for asking, EMDR is changing my life , I am finally not having all the negative results from extreme trauma when I was a child, after almost 3 years of EMDR theraphy I don't have anymore the suicidal thoughts that I had all my adult life, I don't have anymore panic attacks, I am not anymore my worst enemy with destructive habits, I don't let anymore people to treat me like a piece of garbage, I am able now to forgive and let go, and I am finally my best friend, my best companion because now I truly know how to love myself, therefore I am able to really take care of my wounded terrified child that was inside of me, controlling and destroying my adult life because she didn't know better, now I am protecting her, loving her and she is trusting her adult part of her to live a life without confusion and knowing that I am making sure my daily actions are to take care of myself in a loving way not like the monster adults that were around me when I grow up that almost killed physically an innocent child, I was killed emotionally and almost mentally but I found the most amazing therapist that does EMDR and I saved my life ! I am thankful 🙏 for the rest of my life and eternity 🙏! I have to say anyone doing EMDR THERAPHY needs to be in a very safe environment and have the strength and courage to relive all the horrors of the traumas experienced in the past it is very overwhelming and drains your present life for a while putting you is a state of overwhelmed confusion and taking your life up and down for a while, it is like a roller coaster of negative emotions and lots of acceptance of how toxic and mean adults can be to children, but necessary if you want to keep living.and finally learning how to treat yourself with love therefore with respect, empathy, care and a desire and hope for the best life you can live. It is like a nasty infected pimple full of nasty pus that before will heal, it has to remove all the pus inside out ALL of it, so it can be clean to be close and heal, because if the pus it is not removed completely the infection will not heal and will take over causing pain and discomfort. I am finding peace and happiness, and that is a gift that I am grateful for and thankful to every moment now, CARPE DIEM ! Thank you for asking, and I hope my message answers your question and gives hopes to however needs it, reading my message. Please, anyone in pain, any kind of pain, NEVER GIVE UP 🙏 and if mental therapy is needed I recommend a trustworthy therapist that does EMDR. I tried EVERYTHING before and only EMDR saved my life, and I say " saved my life" because today I know that my suicidal thoughts were taking over, I was so afraid of them, and thanks to a coworker that reach to management (because I was expressing loud and clear my suicidal thoughts, I was crying for help , now I see looking back), and management put me in contact with a mental help office and that mental office contact me with my therapist ) I am grateful today that I am well and alive! ❤️‍🩹💝 I feel bless 🙏

Hello ma'am. Can EMDR cure Dissociation? Depersonalization to be exact? A near death experience followed by 2 years of dissociation has turned my really really good life upside down. I would be super helpful to know whether you have treated anyone with Dissociation.

Dissociation can be treated but it is treated before we do EMDR. That is an important step.

I am feeling a bit suicidal right now but would like to try EmDR once I go to my GP and reach out for help... I developed an obsession towards a married man and got blocked from their channel and I've also had past sexual abuse and a forced abortion when I was only 21.. I'm hoping I work through this mess as I also got pysically abused badly in the past
