If you scroll to the bottom of the page of any restaurant on the Zomato app, you would see that Zomato has mentioned that the pricing has been set by the restaurants directly. The price increase is not from Zomato. Zomato is not responsible for setting the prices.Each restaurant/vendor sets their own prices themselves. The reason why the restaurant sets a higher price is to compensate for the commission that they need to give to Zomato. So instead of giving the commission from their sale, they increase the price and use that additional money to compensate for the commission. Thus, the restaurant's profit always remains the same as the commission is extracted from the customers and not from their sale amount. This is a long known fact for me.

Definitely price will be more in zomato compared to outlet becoz the outlet will be tied up with the mediator(zomato). To run the zomato application they company used to hire employees to monitor the application or to enhance the application and they need servers to run the application. Thats y cost will be more in any of the applications like zomato, swiggy, food panda and other applications.

Hello Vishwa and Akash bhai , this was indeed an outstanding video but I just want to say that Zomato takes around 20% commision from restaurants due to which restaurant have to increase prices online if they don't increase the price their profit would be affected , I'm not saying this casually but with experience because we have our own restaurant

My dad owns 2 burger king and 1 Domino's outlet, and yes if someone orders from zomato then priority is given to that order, but it doesn't make much difference because everything is fast in our outlets because its burger king and Domino's Edit: In normal restuarants, it is bit challenging to manage if they recieve many zomato order + many offline orders
