VK56DE D40 Navara Gremlin killing

About four years ago we sent this one off into the wild blue yonder, there were plans to fit a fresh gearbox due to the high mileage of the chassis but as things sometimes work out it took AGES before we got her back - but now it's time to sort it!
So three priorities: replace high KM gearbox with fresh low KM unit, rectify jumping out of fifth gear on deceleration due to gearbox misalignment, reduce pedal effort for the clutch.
By the end of this video all of those are sorted :)

Maaaaate I've wanted to do this to my d40 for a long time but have found hardly any videos or forums on anyone completing one. Also completing one with d40 diesel factory parts like the manual gear box, unmodded engine bays etc

watching the video I have the v9x v6 deisel so would this motor bolt up to the 7 speed gearbox from the d40.

Does the 5 puck plate work better than the factory, continuous ring style? That's the best description I could come up with.

That would require a lengthy answer to cover all of the details but generally speaking the five puck style friction plates will hold more torque.

Do you know if the chassis in the np300 navaras are the same mounting points ect .cheers

That's the easiest of the conversions seeing as you are petrol fuel to start with and auto box so the Titan stuff will just bolt in.

No, 05+ fits. 01 is first gen and this is not a drop in swap for that
