It's truly disappointing when Kramniks cast widespread aspersions of cheating. I firmly believe that the majority of strong players value integrity, especially in non-monetary games, where the hollow victory of cheating compares to the falseness of flaunting a fake Rolex. Cheating is much more common by newbies and below 2000 players who don't care that much about the game It's not as widespread by over 2000 players as some people think.

two years ago noob cheaters just played the first engine moves and got banned. these days cheaters have gained cheater elo, and they know what they can get away with. They can play with an 'open book' wrt the opening because its nearly impossible to discern opening knowledge from cheating. That's why all these 2100-2700 cheaters have cutting edge opening knowledge. I see it around my elo 1600-1900. in the last year i see my openings get refuted often even though the refuting moves are hard to find.

Fast forward 1 year, everyone is blocked except for those under 500 ELO.

Why have you cut the video just when he’s about to check game review? I think that’s the pure essence of Kramnik’s streams It really adds a lot of value to such cases to see if he will continue with the procedure

He's so paranoid. They're still in the opening and it feels fishy to him

probably cause he’s playing opening moves pretty slow for someone that’s 2600

@@lliwbrown3089 I’m not even a fan of Kramnik I’m currently 2400 and typically play first 15-20 moves relatively quickly just because of how much theory people typically know, the person he’s facing most likely not cheating and he’s just being paranoid as usual just saying why he might think that

That's an almost 2400 FIDE 14-15 year old. Kramnik needs to understand that these are rapidly improving kids who are spending their entire days on chess with modern tools and coaching setups to help them improve.

You think Kramnik did not spend all his days playing chess when he was a kid?
@liszt855 ай бұрын
@@kkarx did you just gobble up the rest of what I said? The modern tools make a huge difference. Engines and AI have made training a lot more intense and objective (you can hear Nakamura himself talk about the difference between people of that era, like Kasparov, and people of the current era who grew up with computers. The records for the youngest to get to different titles keep tumbling. So it is difficult for people like Kramnik to understand how a 14 year old improving FM is able to play so well. Faster time controls are also another matter. All the kids of this generation grow up on a healthy diet of faster time control chess (yet another difference from his times). So they naturally tend to have better mouse skills and are also quick at spotting tactics. This might be shocking for someone like Kramnik. I hope this clarifies.

@@liszt85 Kramnik was top 3 in the world blitz chess championship in 2019 ahead of Alireza, so assuming that he doesn't understand how young people develop is a bit dumb also take into account that he trained young Uzbekistan players recently. With all this rapid development Vishy is still near top 10 in his 50th. I think what you are writing is just common sense that is not backed with any data, like if computers are better then everything else is better and Kramnik is dumb because he old. But there can be many other parameters, like maybe with all the entertainment around kids prefer to play Dota instead of chess, do other stuff for living. And all of this cannot proof or refute whether a certain young player is a cheatert.
