Just wanted to say thank you for documenting your hgv journey. I just took and passed my class 1 and your videos helped a hell of a lot. And I still use them as reference now as I develop my driving. Thank you and keep helping us be better drivers.

You're absolutely right and since I started following your chanel I noticed your flair for teaching,it's quite helpful. You're truly an encouragement for me cos I have always love trucking as business, though not necessarily driving for some company but to have the general knowledge that would help my prospective haulage thrive. Once again I appreciate the efforts, thanks.

HNY Hayley. Its really good to see you again. Every time I see a Kay's wagon on the Dudley bypass I still look to see if its you. You have come along way since passing your test and starting at the "BIG A". It is very commendable that you have learned so much and that you are now passing it on to others too, and with great success by the sounds of it. After a whole working lifetime in the metal finishing industry I have now retired, and spend most days now restoring and driving my vintage lorries. These are very happy days. Keep up the great work. David in Dudley.

As I have mentioned elsewhere, I passed my Australian car to Heavy Combination in a crash box a couple of weeks ago, in a Kenworth K104B. My goal for the New Year is to get some experience driving in a real life setting. I live in a remote area and finding truck driving jobs it a bit harder than for some. We’ll see …

Happy New Year! Your amazing you powerhouse 💪been a while since I tuned in but I'm looking forward to watching all your 2023 vlogs perfect timing for me 😁.... started chasing my dream at 50yrs old so bit late to the party...in March'23 I will have done Class2 agency in the North East for a year... loving it!!! Thinking about ADR next, maybe Class 1 before I'm 53 then retire into Transport Planner at 55 lol... need to find a company (Hayley Transport 😆) that wants to train/employ me at same time and pay peanuts coz I won't need the money... I'll have made plenty ADR C1 driving by 😉😆🌈🚛 All the best for the year ahead, you'll be amazing whatever you do 🙏

Truly admirable progression and ability to create futures. As to me it would be to stop playing old games unknowingly and to play new ones knowingly, which can only be done with spiritual self-identification.

Happy New Year Hayley. I passed my category C test on Tuesday, so I'm now thinking about looking for my first driving job. I tried the C+E test twice, and both were pretty disastrous. I feel a lot more comfortable in a rigid. If you fancy getting a job as in instructor in Sheffield, I'll learn with you if I ever decide to revisit artic driving, but I don't fancy travelling to Birmingham 😀.

Most of us take a few years of class 2 under our belts before attempting class 1. It was the natural order that was about a few years ago, before car to class 1, and it definitely helps. You’ll have a much better understanding of driving large vehicles soon and when you re-sit your class 1 again, you’ll do just fine

Good to see you are combining your love of teaching and driving to help other people. It's definitely how you see things that shape your view of the half full / half empty dilemma. I've found an 8-9 hr shift working evening into early morning but this suits me down to the ground as I get leisure time in the afternoons and avoid the traffic in the day. As a bonus I get paid to listen to the football as there's normally a game on most nights

Happy new year Hayley! You’ve been very busy and I’m not sure how you manage to do it all 😂 I’ve got a few goals for the year, similar to your 2022 actually. I want to sit my ADR and have that under my belt, I want to do my Transport Manager CPC and get back into management and I’ve also been looking into DCPC so I can teach CPC classes. I was offered a position to teach HGV driving last year for a local company but turned it down as the idea of being self employed didn’t sound appealing to me - but now it doesn’t seem so bad. Thank you for everything and I look forward to seeing where we all are in 2024!

Happy New Year Hayley, my goal this year is to get my class 1, still working for Perry's recycling and I have been told that my next step is training oon the hookloader. I have done office waste rounds but find that I struggle physically with the wieght of some of the bags, the customers tend to overfill them but then expect us to lift them when they can't themselves, hookloader work is less physical, unless the doors on the bins are a bit stiff😳, good luck with your goals, I'm sure you will achieve them

Sounds like a career plan to me. Maybe a collaboration with a likeminded another(s) in forming a training company. Word of mouth is the best advert you could ever have. Keep building on your reputation and seek out any potential investors with business experience ( not those Dragons Den greedysauruses ( my spellin' is atrocious) types). Before going ahead with a collaboration much open discussion will be required especially over who does what, who handles the money, how's the profit divided up, drawing of living income. You may need an NED to chair the company (by mutual appointment) usually an independent expert that can be trusted and not screw the company on remuneration or best still on an honoury basis. USP could be in inspiring female students to success as well as men. Just a portion of food for thought.

Sorry Hayley already booked my CPC 5 day course with another youtuber. might not be for a year or so, as like you he has to do the training first. So then will allow me to actually drive class 3 commercially again with my class 3 licence which I got with grandfather rights. my class 2 provisional expired, not sure if I would go for the class 2 again, think if I went for my medical to regain my provisional, I would jump straight to the class 1, as my old provisional was just for the class 2 before it expired due to age restrictions.

Just wanted to say i’ve taken a lot from your HGV Journey and that I’m still going with mine, I failed my first attempt at class 1, I think I was let down by the examiner they were a nice person but admitted they didn’t know the area and gave me late directions I felt like I was having to pre empt where I was going, unfortunately I clipped a kerb as I went into a corner to fast due to a late instruction and it just went downhill from that, my resolution is to just keep at it until I get it but at the time of the fail I did feel like I had let myself down as I had worked really hard, I do appreciate your videos though Hayley and once i’ve got a bit more driving experience once I get my class 1, I would like to do some teaching work, I just wanted to ask for your advice about the re-test and what experience you need to be able to teach, many thanks from Callum :)

Hi Hayley I wish you could train me. I failed my c1 yesterday having had very poor instruction in my view for the last 9 days. i didn't fell ready for the test and had to ask the instructor on 2 occasions to stop being so passive aggressive. I am starting to think trucking is not for me. i was expecting 40 hours per week of training and only got 22. any how good luck to you.

Do not leave m8. Get your licence. It will pay off eventually. I failed many times before I passed my class 2 about 5 years ago . I also passed my class 1 in 2019. A licence in your pocket will always be a good thing for you.
