I've definitely found self pub has become a place for a lot of misogyny to make it into books where trad pub is much more rejecting it now, so that is a bummer, but I'm glad you were able to comment on it critically but fairly. The last Noah definitely sounds intriguing, ill wait to see what you think further along 😁

This was a ton of fun to watch! Boo the misogyny in these books though, especially the first one. UGH. I read a bunch of indie and self-pub books but they're mostly romance so misogyny isn't usually a problem, thank goodness. That being said, I agree that editing is a big difference between trad and self-pub. Some authors pay for good developmental editors, and it shows. Some only pay for line edits, and it shows. I'm sure that some authors are good enough not to need major edits, and I know that big publishing houses put out books that need a strong going over, but still - I think the tendency is there.
