The shop looks wonderful, so cozy and warm. The colors and decorations make huge difference for clients comfort and for tattoo artist themselves. Also thumb up for being vegan.

I would like to ask you something, if you don't mind, is tattoo work regulated in UK? Do you have to get a hygiene certificate or anything else? Even if you don't, is there somewhere where they do teach you that other than through apprenticeship which i suppose doesn't end with any official paper? Thank you in advance xx

You only need health and hygiene and blood bourne pathogens certificates. No certification for your abilities/skills in tattooing itself. That's why there are so many poor quality tattoos coming out of some shops. One near me in particular has a really bad rep for bad tattoos. All you need is the money to lease the shop and the time (about 2 days) to complete the required certifications. That's why it's important to recognise and promote talented artists within the field. With so many people seeing tattooing as a quick cash cow you have to be wary of unknown "artists" cropping up!
