My husband is a general contractor and he comes home telling me all sorts of horror stories about estimates he's done for people who's original contractor is nowhere to be found. NEVER pay someone in full who still has more work to do, no mater how small it is. Payment is their motivation to come back! You probably wont see the contractor again, sis. He probably didn't even order your railings because if he did, you would've had them installed. He doesn't have your money either, he spent that as soon as he got it, TRUST ME! You'll need another contractor. Most, but not all, of them are shystie whether they are expensive or not. Just remember: Payment is your leverage! Good luck and so sorry, I know it's frustrating.

Girl I feel u with the wedding stress. everything's gonna be okay boo! Once you're about to walk down the aisle you start to feel better because at this point it's all about execution. Then after it's all over you guys will feel so relieved and excited. I was the same way because the money got sooo tight we couldn't even have a bartender we had to just buy endless wine lol. my friend catered the event but he actually is lowkey a chef it's just not what he does for a living. but thank god for him. and our wedding planner was very inexpensive. we had a 50 person guestlist and when it came to seating we were only specific about the wedding party and the parents. everyone else had to fend for themselves lol. the planner escorted family to their seats so that there would no confusion. only local family was around and our close friends so no out of town family. I think when we hit 10 yrs maybe we'll do a big renewal but idk. I'm just glad we made it lol. I came in with my dad to "you" by raheem devaughn, first dance was knocks me off my feet, me and dad danced to my girl, my hubby and his mom danced to a song by musiq soulchild I forget the name. my favorite song at the time (2019) was "24k magic" so that was a requirement lolol. it was fun but it happened so fast I cant remember everything anymore it makesnme sad because we didnt have a videographer
