I love that your Mama was there when you went to get your ears pierced. Your growth over the last few months has been amazing to watch. It’s hard when you are in a relationship to look inside, it’s far easier when you’re on the outside looking back in at it (if that makes sense hahaha). Take care and stay safe 💝

Woow such a powerful car chat. So so so cool to hear that going through one of your worst fears has made you less fearful about other things. It's incredible to see how God uses the ugly fears we have and turns them around into something beautiful. He truly does take away our ashes and replaces them with a crown of beauty. I appreciate your honesty, God bless you, Michel!

I found you recently when looking at videos about moving to Austin… and I just have to tell you- I’m a bit older than you, but I have walked a parallel path with health issues (which have been somewhat public), and a divorce after 14.5 years- which was about 5 years ago. I just have to tell you- the way you feel about all the challenge revealing more of your true self… it’s exactly what I went through. I too went through years of continuous molding of myself to try to perform better to make my ex happier- and only after that relationship dissolved did I recognize that I was no longer the person I truly was. With so much of God’s endless grace, I slowly peeled back the layers and layers- until it was just me… all vulnerable and raw- but it was me. And I was so grateful. My health then got really scary- but I was equipped with more strength and faith than ever… and slowly, I pulled through. Now, 5 years later, I’m in an amazing relationship and I’m thankful every day for this opportunity to start again- and I’ve never regretted anything about the journey or the previous relationship- because I would not be the person I am today without that loss. After the divorce was through and I had healed, I got a tattoo on my wrist that says “amor Fati” - look that up. 😘 keep smiling, sweet girl. Maybe I’ll run into you in Austin someday. Stay in the arena… it’s where the magic happens. You’re doin it.

Oh Michel, I am so glad you see your growth in recent months! I think we (your viewers) see it in every video. You have come so far, in such a short time, that it has been a blessing to watch! You gave so much of yourself away before and didn't set boundaries for how you were to be treated. God has shown you your true value. You will never allow yourself to be treated like that again. On a different note, I got my tragus pierced in my 40s. I'm 60 now and still love it! Piercing with hollow needles is the only way to do it. ❤

I've always wondered what it would be like to have a mom I lost my mom when I was 6 and she was 26 to a brain aneurysm. Still to this day I get nervous around mothers and so weird I'm always wondering how what it's like to have your mom and as I could see your mom is amazing.. it makes me wish that I had a mom but I'm very happy that I at least had my father growing up. You two are so lucky actually to have each other because I think you both are amazing

I think it's amazing that you can hold the sadness of not having your mom for a long time at the same time as the joy for those who have great moms who are still with us on earth. I think it is a mark of an amazing human whenever I see people being genuinely happy for others after such a deep tragedy that leaves forever lasting effects. Your dad sounds lovely. I hope he shares stories of your mom with you to keep her memory alive and to show you what you have inside of you specifically from her.

100% on point car talk Michel. We need to keep growing to be the best versions of ourselves. I learned that within the past 2 years and the reality is, we will never stop growing. I'm so happy for your growth and your new journey. Someone will be very lucky to find you, I just know it because you are such a nice person and you deserve it. For now, just enjoy your alone time and do not stress about that. The best things happen when you least expect it. ❤️ Also, I have a little trick if you ever want to pay for someone who refuses to let you pay. Towards the end of our meal, I excuse myself to go to the bathroom. Then I secretly find the waiter/waitress and give them my card. 😄

Your car chat was so serendipitous to my life right now-- this week I have just been so incredibly grateful that "God had to tear things down to build something new up" in my life, as strange as that might sound to some people. Honestly, when my long-term relationship ended, it felt like my life was just falling apart, that all my hopes and dreams had ended as well-- it felt like everything was over. I saw it as a loss, but now I beginning to see how much I gained instead-- that I not only survived one of my worst fears, I came out on the other side of it growing, and thriving, and blooming. I don't even recognize the girl I was before this, and I honestly believe that if I had not gone through that breakup, and learned the lessons that I could only learn by going through it, I would not be at this place creating all this change and space in my life to achieve the things I have dreamed and longed for-- and for that reason, as bizarre as it may sound, I am grateful to God for that heartbreak because it led me to this.

I have recently subscribed to your channel in the last couple of months, and I have wanted to comment several times. I think you are 100% correct when you said you weren't valued. I am baffled as to why you were not treated with the unconditional love that you deserved, because I think you are amazing. I think the neglect you endured was a way to make your former spouse feel superior, because he knew you were out of his league. I am just saying. You are blessed to be able to grow and learn from this experience at such a young age, and you will find someone great!!

I know it’s hard being in the unknown but a few years ago I was in a similar place as you and felt like life had pulled apart every piece of me. Looking back I see that part of my life as the most raw and free to experience life that I have ever felt. I tried so many new things and said yes to life in a way that I never had. I can now honestly say that I can see that time as happy even though at the moment it felt so painful. I know this will be the case for you. You are doing so great🤛🏻

I just love your updates! I'm your mom's age and wish that I had a daughter. I've always been fiercely independent, so I've always paid for everything on my own or for others. About 20 years ago, I had a friend who would offer to pay or do something for me, but I'd decline. One day, she told me, "when you don't allow other people to help or their offer to pay for something, you rob them of being a blessing to you. It makes us all feel good to be a blessing to others." I hope this makes sense. Love your piercings!

You have no idea how much I needed to hear this car chat! What you're saying is so true! I am going through some really hard struggles right now. My parents and I are living in a tiny house and we just got notified by the county that we can't live in it anymore. We have now where to go. We have no where else to live. I'm afraid and I'm trusting God. He has been telling my heart to thank him for the miracle he will do for us. My faith is really growing in ways I never could have imagined. We are all praying that God will provide us with what he knows we need. We have a small camper that we might be able to live in but I really don't want to do that. God has performed miracles in my life and amazed me with his goodness. I don't know where we will be by this Sunday but the great thing is God does! Amen! Thanks for the great video! God bless!

For me this changed when I spent a year travelling and working overseas by myself (this was before the pandemic) which was a real season of growth and learning about myself. You have to remember that someone who takes the time to attempt to tear someone else down is not in a good place in their own life. People who are content and doing their own thing simply don't make time for that. Hopefully knowing that makes it even easier for you to not care. It's really THEM not you. Hurt people, hurt people. It's true and it's sad and instead of being upset, really, just feel pity for them and move on like you are. Keep doing you. You've been getting a lot more positive feedback lately for a reason and that's because we can all see the growth in your confidence and strength and some people just can't handle seeing other evolve when they are stuck in a rut themselves.

Hi Michel first and foremost I love your vlogs I’ve been watching since the pandemic. I want to let you know what you have been going through is sad and yet your life is opening up for you which is so wonderful to watch. I did notice that your not breaking up to much with rashes all over your body, I think the stress of being unhappy and unappreciated in your old life might of had something to do with it, now I’m not a doctor but that happens to me. I wish you the best in life I only see your life getting better and better. BTW thanks for introducing me to Cozy Earth Ive used your code three times I love it.

As someone who has gotten 8 cartilage piercings, I recommend going to a reputable tattoo parlor if you do not have the money for a boutique piercing store like Stud's. Tattoo parlors will use the same sterile and correct processes and metal quality as this kind of parlor, with much more affordable prices. You can always buy more expensive jewelry post-piercing. I recommend looking up reviews of parlors to find one you like. I don't want anyone to think that they can't find a quality piercer in their price point or that only boutique stores use straight needles, etc.

I loved this vlog! I love the feeling you get when you get a new piercing too, makes you feel like a brand new person! I wish I had a Stud shop near me, such an innovative concept, and I’ve always felt like new piercings should have flat backs. I’ve had multiple that healed improperly from having a hoop or a ball on the backside. Once again, loved this ♥️♥️♥️

May I assure you of something? God did not have a hand in tearing you down. James 1:13 is very reassuring I think. I just feel badly when people think God would cause them their suffering. He’s not like that. The way you have grown from these unfortunate experiences is very commendable!

I disagree- While God doesn’t desire that we suffer, He promises he will be with us while we walk through times of difficulty. And God knew that He could turn these into beauty for Michel! Which I think his her point (: but I think we all can agree that Michel is thriving in this season of her life and its deepening her faith and joy ❤️

Or rather, maybe I would agree that doesn’t cause suffering, but I think the theological view of this topic usually uses the wording that he *allows* suffering, because He sees what is on the other side, and He’s there to hold us through it!

Oh I do agree with that!- there’s a big difference between causing and allowing. I definitely agree that he allows us to go through hardships and helps us when we turn to him while we are suffering ♥️ sometimes helping us in very unexpected ways.

I loved, and needed to hear, this car chat. Thank you for sharing! ❤️ Also, how can anyone say anything mean to you? You're just the sweetest. I honestly think it just comes from an insecure/jealous place in them. Also...I LOVE your intro and outro! They're perfect and I always look forward to hearing them.

Though I have NO experience with what you're currently walking through right now, I have walked through some crap of my own to realize whose I am. I no longer allow myself to worry what others think about me. I congratulate you for having that realization too. Yay for growth and healing!! Also, something to keep in mind, did you know that there was a neuroscience study done about how anxiety (or in this case, worry) and gratitude cannot exist in the brain at the same time? It's quite interesting to me, that the more grateful you are, the less worried you are. Eeh, just something to think about! ❤️
