Decided to part it out. Guy who owned it before be must have beat the piss out of it because the crankcase and rods were pretty messed up. Makes me sad to give up such a cool project.

Mine was seized but I was able to free it up by removing stator cover and gently working the flywheel with breaker bar.Put back together and ran for about 5 seconds and seized again.Any thoughts about what it could be?

Shooting in the dark here but could be a lubrication issue. Maybe a bad oil pump? I've heard there was even a recall on vmax oil pumps for certain years.
