vMix Basics: Automating Complex Data Overlays

Most productions require overlays specifically designed for different on-screen layouts and can sometimes include unique smaller information elements that need come on and off screen independently.
On today’s show, we will show you a way to work with GT Titles that lets you easily switch what is being displayed as an overlay - content, layout, and elements - with minimal manual intervention from the operator.

Great show John, thanks to the whole team that produce it! These new features are quite nice but even is related to automation, I couldn't find here some answers that I need so here is the question: How would you automate the use of different graphics depending of a certain value within a data source using always, for example the same camera shot? and second question, could you let me knwo where did you get the background wall vinyl? I absolutly love it!!! Thanks a lot in advance, keep it up!!

Hi Manu. Using shortcuts or scripting, it is possible to dynamically change an image file used in a title template. This can be done with the 'SetImage' shortcut. Just make sure you have a fully described URI/File patch for the image file you want used. Try it using shortcuts first to make sure it is setup correctly, and then add it to any scripts you'd like. REgarding the topic, I see, I will investigate on that shortcut as well, eventhough we are now thinking that building an external app to overwatch the competition status constantly and then send the appropiate calls to vmix would might be a good idea to avoid vmix this part of the work as it would fill up some internal buffers if, as needed, this system will be running for many hours during sereval days on a row. THappy new year and please keep those great shows up!!

Hi John, taking avantage of summer low activity to watch all great content i missed. Seems that code or preset for this epidsode (S03-E25 ?) is not on github. thanks in advance if you could share it !

Amigo tudo bem? Sou aqui do Brasil! estou precisando criar um plugin para atualizar a cada 10min altuns imputs automaticamente... sendo eles webbrouser do vmix, um srt e um ndi... tenho um problema de cairem constantemente devido a usar um pc remoto para mandar sinal. ai a conexao das maquinas volta mas o input so volta se clicar com botao direito e atualizar.... sabe me informar aonde encontro a base para desenvolver esse script de atualizar automatico?
