If we did not have auch a big amount of heavy crashes we wouldn‘t have to be that organized. Germany is a country with a lot of transit traffic, much of this traffic is caused by trucks crossing the country from South to North, West to East and the counterdirections.

Hatte meinen Führerschein gerade ein halbes Jahr und ein paar hundert Meter vor mir ist eine Familie vom Weg abgekommen und gegen einen Brückenpfeiler gekracht. Alle Tot, darunter 2 Kinder davon eines ein Baby. Ich sah die Tränen in den Augen der Rettungssanitäterin. Ich war drauf und dran meinen Lappen zu zerreißen.

In Germany you can get up to 280 Euro fine for not building a corridor for emergency units plus two "penalty points" and one month you´re banned from driving. The penalty points you get are noted in a central register were all our local driving licens offices have access to. Depending on the violation you are getting up to three of these Points. If you are getting to much of them you are permanently banned from driving. I think only up to 8 Points are possible before getting banned. But the points can expire, the time variate also depending on the violation between 2 and 5 years. Are in the U.S. no laws like this? I mean, i watch sometimes Dashcam footage here on youtube which is obviusly recorded in the u.s. and often i am shocked how often stupid acciedents happen. And i am also wonder about how often the initiator of the acciedent flees from the scene but also witnesses of the accident don´t care and they drive away. Why is this so? I mean, i can explain myself that an initiator flees, maybe he´s drunk, stoned or he has no insurance but why are so often no one willing into helping the victims?

@@christianschramm4489 It's no secret that there are very many horrible drivers here in the states. It is incredibly easy to get a drivers license here and there are virtually no penalties for poor driving. It's also very uncommon that you would see anybody's license get revoked. You would have to have caused many major accidents and/or have driven while intoxicated too many times to ever get your license revoked. I personally think there is a major problem here with driving culture. There are too many people here that simply don't give a shit whether or not they are being a safe or competent driver because nobody here will give them any kind of actual punishment. This is why so many people flee from accidents as well. No punishment.

that way of splitting traffic to let emergency vehicles through is called the "Moses principle" (taken from the Bible where Moses split the Red Sea)... in many countries in Europe, if you don't give them space they'll write down your license plate number and you'll get a fine and/or a summons to court in the post later... and a lot of traffic offense are linked to a point-system... above a certain number of points you lose your license (usually for a set period of time)... and if you drive without a license, in a lot of European countries you're no longer insured (and if you drive without insurance then the car you drive when apprehended by the police will be taken from you and can only be retrieved if you show a valid license (a revoked license isn't valid) and proper insurance...)

it's in mainland Europe, everything is left-hand drive (apart maybe from Gibraltar since that's UK territory)... as a driver you tend to steer yourself away from trouble... if it'd been a right-hand drive it'd very likely be a mirror image...

If you are talking about the two cars the van was towing, it's because they have no license plates. In Germany, it is forbidden to drive a car without a license plate.

The Suzuki WagonR+ loaded on the truck is less than 1 ton. Triple axle trailers like that one shown in the video are mostly classified with a total capacity of 3.5 tons and a loading capacity of around 2.5 tons. The Dacia Duster should be somewhere around 1.4 tons and the Toyota Yaris somewhere around 1 ton. That should fit the requirements. 🤔

It was not overloaded. Do you see the rear-axle of the crashed truck? This is not a 3,5 tons truck. I guess 5,7 tons or 7,5 tons truck. 5,7 tons truck can take a load up to 2 tons, trailer is allowed to have 150% of weight of the towing truck. a 9 metres trailer like this has an empty weight of 600 -900 kg, both cars maximum 2,5 tons to 3 tons. the Suzuki on the truck I guess 1 ton. Here was not overloading the problem but missing attention to the traffic, I guess.

I have no idea really but I bet its lot maybe this accident 20 million?. I remember years ago they made a cost per hour that the M25 was stopped for an hour only, on this the insurance companies have to have many meetings and drink much coffee to try and avoid paying.

This is in /germany, and as far as I recall there is no speed limit on the Autobahns, I have been to Germany ,and passed through five or six times also and that was the situation then.
