We really need a ChaeNnie sub-unit, I swear. Both were chosen to collaborate with G-Dragon, so it's a good thing to let them have a sub-unit. Their voices compliment with each other. Lisa, she really showed how good she is a sub-vocalist. Her tone when singing is really different from her rapping tone. I love it. Jisoo. I'm really happy that Jisoo has the most lines in this song. I really love her husky voice that touch me everytime. Every member has a unique and distinct tone which makes them standout among the K-Pop girl group out there. Yang Hyun Suk ain't lying when he said, "The meaning of BLACKPINK aims to contradict the common perception of the color pink. Pink is commonly used to portray prettiness, but BLACKPINK actually means to say that 'prettiness isn't everything'. I have noticed over the years, well all four of them, how Rose´ has a way to put her own timing in delivering the lyrics. Especially when it comes to her singing non BlackPink songs. Two examples are the short clip of her singing the Elvis song, 'Can't Help falling In Love With You' and the Nat King Cole song, Merry Christmas To you.' Appreciate your analysis but you must know for the studio audio, even years before BlackPink, there has been the ability to place beats and vocals exactly where the producer wants them. Even slowing the individual timbre of instruments to stretch or compress them. I like to find a good quality audio fan cam of any groups live performance, solely to hear the vocal. I say fan cam because official live material has to be post produced to make the balance of instruments and vocal and backing material, all clearly audible. Very tricky to do and there are some excellent sound engineers, producing excellent 'live' material for DVD/Blu-Ray releases.

Rosé always proves wrong all the people who say that she should not be the main vocal. There is no one in Blackpink who can replace Rosé's voice.

It might be because it's typically used in more rap / hip hop type songs, whereas it's unusual for a ballad like this, which makes it super interesting here. I love this song overall - might be my favorite song of the album tbh. Jisoo really shines in this one - I think her voice is really unique, which underlines your point that you shouldn't change your voice even if (or especially if) it's different from others.
