as a die hard ariana fan i can tell that this is the album she's always wanted to do since her debut. the rnb chilled style. the sexual lyrics and the simplicity of the songs. the whistle notes everywhere. the over the top harmonies (fun fact: she produced all her vocals herself in this album and even recorded some of them at home). im just so happy and proud of her growth

Y E S she’s finally doing what she actually loves,without having to worry about impressing anyone with big,extreme vocals (and don’t get me wrong they’re still amazing,just more relaxed and laidback) and it really shows how much passion and effort she put in this record

in my opinion, this is her best album. i was waiting for a 100% rnb album from her, and i finally got it. it’s a grower, but it’s very cohesive and i see growth in her vocals and lyrics. a lot of her die hard fans are not gonna think this is her favorite because they want pop.

i hated this album. Im happy shes happy and releasing what she wants but the entire projects was just... dry. like it all sounded like deleted tracks from thank u next and sweetner. nothing really refreshing (except my hair and love language those are amazing) but the most of it is bland. I listened to the entire album all the way through 3 times and it still isnt hitting. Very underwhelming in my opinion. I dont think trap works for her. No hate to her she sounded amazing the entire album but thats just a normal standard for her. I was expecting something better.

Ari really was like "you get a whistle tone, and you get a whistle tone! Everyone gets a whistle tone!" when recording this album lol Anyway I actually really liked this album, I've been wanting her to dip deeper in R&B and she did just that but in a more pop way, mixing it with different genres and playing around with things. I absolutely loved the strings, they gave me old movies vibes and it was so nice, the trap beats here and there were so well produced, her vocals sounded soft like plush, she never went too hard nor too high; the entire album felt very chill and I appreciate it. Like, is it my favorite album of hers? Probably not, "Dangerous Woman" is still amazing to me, but this is definitely her best one, it was smartly composed and produced, she played with her voice in incredibly entertaining ways, the entire work feels like growth.

For me, this album is so grown for ari. I love how she's so blatantly open about her love life and the cohesiveness of the strings throughout the project really bring it together. It feels more laid back, not forced in any way, almost as if she’s just explaining her current situations to her friend group. I love how she’s making what she wants to make and not giving 2 fucks about what people may think. Such a cohesive project.

This album reminds me of from “Yours Truly”.. and way grown up version of “My Everything.. those albums had heavy deep cut R&b tracks. Her vocals tho!! They sound more mature as well.. slight rasp in her upper belt especially in POV😍

To me this is a very mature album. It shows that Ariana is doing songs for her and only her! She became in a point where she is able to do what she loves, and this is the reason why we have so many theatrical songs, beautiful harmonies, lots of classical instruments and her pure vocals. We can see how she wanted that in the other álbuns when she was singing them live... to me, it’s not my favorite album but is definitely the best one. By the way, my favorite songs are Motive and Love Language!

Best album from her so far. Her voice is really exploted its less comercial the lyrics makes more sense. Is not an album to dance but to hear and feel.

That’s the problem tho. If she goes on tour all you gonna see her do is stand n no one wanna see any singer just stand. In my opinion I wanted like dance song that are bops for when she’s on tour but it’s not her best album. Vocally it’s good but too much talking and not any good tour songs to dance to and get hyped. Best thing to do is body roll in some songs 😂

My favorite song from this album is definitely "My Hair" - I just love the vocals and the arrangement of the song. I always love it when Ariana does jazz music. Her voice is spectacular for that! I always thought she should do a jazz album someday too! I also like that this song has some of that jazz quality in it while still being a pop song. 🎵

that's not actually a live album, it's just a playlist on her channel called "k bye for now (swt live)" where she puts the audio of her singing her songs and the audience's sounds in the sweetener live tour

This is my absolute favorite album so far! Pov, Love Language, and 34+35 are my favorites! Pov is so relatable, Love Language is so beautiful it made me cry, and 34+35 is a total bop. 1. Love Language 2. Pov 3. 34+35 That is the ranking for top 3 (in my opinion). I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO FREAKING MUCH!!!

I love this record and I enjoyed your reaction. My favs are POV (my fav, so much soul and an excellent closer), 6:30 (Gives me Brandy vibes), Love Language (love the vibe this song gives and that most likely Issac Hayes flip.) My Hair (those whistle tone lyrics!) I like this record better than TUN and Sweetener.

To this very day I think that Positions has and will age the best out of all of her albums. The vocals are so exceptionally intricate, the production wildcards and the STRINGS, even the diaristic, honest song-writing. Not to mention the best ballad of her entire career: POV. This album has it all and along with Sweetener is a standout in her discography.
