She is 99.9% technically flawless but what sets her apart is how she draws out the emotions from any song she sings and she can do it all. She truly is a masterclass and she needs to be studied. Her diction is impeccable and she always finishes her phrases. Also, her breath control is just ridiculously so so good. Dr Dan you are doing great reaction to Morissette's singing performance. Only Morissette able bodied multiple voice range can make an audience jaw-dropped with awe. She has the ability to radiate even to the depth of the lowest alto E flat range register and has that incredible voice to modulate into a mezzo-soprano and further belting up to the high and soul piercing soprano peak power output and can reach the 7th diatonic octave of her powerful and fantastic anatomical whistle tone resonance! I followed Whitney until her passing and I thought I would not never ever find another voice like hers until I stumbled onto Morissette during the pandemic. There’s just something about her voice that tugs the heartstrings. Your analysis of this once in a generational artist is so spot on. I love everything about her voice but the one thing I love the most is her tone. The colour and timbre of her tone is just so beautiful and to die for. As you continue the journey of Morissette you’ll will find that she’s in my opinion one of the best LIVE stage performer out there. Many KZfaq videos of singers are done in their recording studios or in their homes and yes they sound great but with Morissette majority of her performances are on stage singing LIVE in front of an audience with no engineering enhancements. Yeah … she’s my favourite singer too 💯👍

Morissette has been my favorite singer, male or female, since the first time I saw and heard her. Thanks for the excellent analysis that verbalizes many of the reasons why she is at the top of the heap. Mori's full, round, rich, warm tone in all registers is what grabbed me from day one. So many female singers are brassy or thin, particularly at the upper end of the scale -- not Mori! You feel like you have been embraced by Morissette's voice when you hear it, and it feels so good!!! ❤❤❤❤

My uncle, a world class level guitarist, told me 50+ years ago that the Philippines, top to bottom, had more singing talent than any other country on Earth. FTR, I am a retired, professional music critic, with 45+years experience. Nothing has changed my thoughts, on what my uncle told me - the Philippines did and still does have more talent than any other country. Here is an elite, Apex level, international caliber, singer right here. Morissette Amon is one of the top 10 to 15 Pop singers of all time. I saw Whitney, Celine, Mariah, live, in their Apex level singing eras - Morissette is in their class.

This is the best reaction. Very educational & it's nice to put into words my appreciation of Morissette's voice, style, expression & technique in singing. I love many talented singers & I still love them. I even had a favorite but when I heard Morissette the first time, I became addicted to her videos & needless to say she's my favorite for about 10 years now. I can't imagine hearing another singer more skillful in many styles than Morissette. There are many great singers with amazing & beautiful voices as equally as beautiful as Morissette's but she's the only one who uses growls, squeaks, whistle notes, & runs the right amount. Never overdone but just the right amount ❤🙏✌

Great analysis - but had you turned on the English captions, you would also have noticed that her tone actually matches the lyrics. „akin ka na lang“ correctly translates into „Please be mine“ (not „you are mine“). The whole song is about her desperate love for another person, who only sees her as a friend. And she prays every day („araw-araw“ - the word with the squeak) for her dream to come true and „until you are mine, my love“ („hangang akin ka na, giliw“). Her tone perfectly conveys these emotions and this sense of longing. (In other songs, like „gusto ko nang bumitaw“ she perfectly embodies desperation, anger and finally piece of mind.)

U’ve been terribly MORIFIED like most of us Dr. Dan. She is indeed one of a kind singers of today’s generation. Simply nothing like her. Her beautiful tone to die for, the emotion she gives to every song that she does, her high and low registers, her impeccable voice control, agility and power TRULY UNMATCHED! This song has the most perfect whistle tone i have ever heard. It's not too "screamy" or too "breathy" and it sounds like she is in complete control and doesn't even break a sweat doing it. To me she is undoubtedly one of the best female singers in the world right now and it's probably many generations to come before we get something remarkable as her again. We got Dimash Kudaibergen and we got Morissette Amon, to me those two are in class of their own compared to the rest. As an instrumentalist myself, i couldn't imagine a greater honor than getting to play for / with her.

You should also listen to some of her musical theater songs cover like Defying gravity, She used to be mine, etc. She can any genre she can even rap, plays the guitar and piano. Shes good in everything she does. Shes my ultimate diva and cant even bear to listen to other singers except her.

O-M-Geeee, Morissette "Mori" Amon is simply an Outstanding Vocal Artist of all time! I've heard of her two years ago from my relatives and friends. I'm a Pilipino who loves to sing Karaoke every now and then esp at social gatherings so Thanks A Million Dr. Dan for your reaction, analysis and Vocal Tips on "How To Sing Properly." I love your commentary and enthusiasm. Morisette has a beautiful voice and whistle tone. She was obviously influenced by the beautiful legendary voice of Mariah Carey, who will always be my favorite. I've always loved watching reaction videos in general. Having come accrossed many of those wonderful vocal teachers around but thought this guy right here (Mr. Dan) is topping the chart when it comes to deliberate professional & keen assessment in digesting down every crucial (parts) notes of the song.
