The name "Angra" comes from the Tupiniquin (native south american people) mythology and its the name of the Goddess of fire and beauty. Angra is THE band that led me into listening to metal since an early age, and it saddens me to say that Fabio Lione, as good as he is, is the sole reason i don't listen to the band anymore. He simply don't belong. The other two vocalists that played with them both brought life to the sound of the band. Lione turned it really generic. So if the purpose of the video was to react to Fabio Lione, then i suggest to listen to Rhapsody of Fire, the band he sung for over 20 years. Now, if the purpose of the video was to react to the band, then i rather see the song with its original singer. For Edu Falaschi i suggest "Millenium Sun" from their DVD Rebirth World Tour. Live stuff from him is kinda scarce, and the ones that exist maybe from a time where he was suffering with gastric reflux which has really affected his voice. He released an DVD recently in celebration of the 15th anniversary of Angra's album "Temple of Shadows" one of which is considered by many a masterpiece (and in my opinion the best album and era of the band) but it's clear for anyone that followed his carrer that his upper register is not the same even thought he did the surgery to treat the gastric reflux. As for Andre Matos, the founding member of Angra, that sadly passed away in 2019, "Make Believe" i think is one of the best live performances with Angra. There's plenty of other stuff with his other projects thought, "Fairy Tale" being the go to video that other people reacted to when he passed away. As Tobias Sammet (Edguy, Avantasia) once said "He's the female voice in metal that i like most". His voice was on another level entirely. (God, that comment took me 3x more time than to just watch the video hahah)

You could say it is a manufactured voice position because the vocals on most of these songs are reasonably high pitched and not written for his voice. The two previous Angra singers have naturally much higher vocals. If you want to hear Fabio sing more naturally you should probably listen to Rhapsody. However, I think Fabio does an excellent job and I am greatful one of my favorite bands ever is still going strong. Angra rules.

Yes, they sound as clean and precise like this live. I've been to lots of their their shows since the beginning of the 2000s and their technical quality is excellent. Angra is just the name of their home town in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is a geological term meaning a little bay at the sea with elevated shore terrain.

They don't have a official keyboardist. The guitarrists compose and record all Keys in their albums. They just pay a guest musician to play the keyboard in tours.

If you want to listen Fabio Lione (The singer) in all his splendor, you need to react to "Rhapsody of Fire - Lamento Eroico". In Angra Fabio still is like "the new guy", specially having a singers like André and Edu before he.

That was a show recorded for a DVD but overall technical problems happened, so it was released only on youtube. Of course some corrections here and there...but these guys really play live. The drummer play to a click. It has been this way since early 2000s. Angra is the portuguese word for "creek" but this name is used in many situations in Brazil, so I think the real origin is something different for the band.

Yeah harmonizing guitars is quite difficult to do. Also in power metal bands like Angra this is a commom thing, maybe because is a virtuoso genre. Another band that do this in a awesome way is Lovebites, try it!!!

Guitarist back...the solo was originally written by Kiko Loureiro, a MONSTER guitarist. Literally any of his solos can take quite some time to get down. Tbh, the reason i finally started learning guitar was because my guitar was just sitting there, doing nothing, so i wanted to put it to good use

O primeiro vocalista e um dos fundadores da banda brasileira Angra foi André Matos em 1991, então ele saiu da banda em 2000 e fundou a banda Shamam, foi substituído por Edu Falaschi que por conta da saúde perdeu a potência da voz e em 2012 deixou a banda, sendo substituído em 2013 por Fábio Todiglione (que é esse do vídeo) e ele é italiano, os outros cantores eram brasileiros, hoje Edu Falaschi segue carreira solo e Andre matos infelizmente faleceu em 2019 por causa de um ataque cardíaco.
