As most comments here mentioned, he was 15 years old in this video. Now that he just turned 18, his voice got incredibly deeper (thanks to puberty), but at the same time higher! He now has wider range :D Phantom of the Opera performance this March 2019 is a perfect example, you may want to check it out! He was also picked by Disney to render "A Whole New World" with Morissette Amon (this May), for Philippines, and that's where his deep range was showcased--!

Darren was in his mid-teens in this video. He's grown-up now, very tall, more handsome and with a deep voice. He covered Despacito and it became viral at one point. His latest stint was a duet with Morisette, singing Aladdin's "A Whole New World" (it has a wish bus and music video version courtesy of Disney PH). He truly was incredibly young in that video...so young that puberty and it's accompanying voice change hadn't quite hit him yet. If you watch him singing/performing Phantom of the Opera, I'm betting you'll be...uhmm...pleasantly surprised by his range now that he's 18. I don't want to spoil things for you, but let's just say he doesn't just sing the parts you'd expect him to sing.

Wish 107.5 Bus has lots of real Live vocalist. Yes, Philippines was a colony of Spain from 1521 until the Revolution. That's why we had Spanish names. We also had American names because we were under American rule for sometime after the Spaniards. 🇵🇭💙👍

Darren Espanto parents both nurses there in Canada. they are all canadian citizen actually. one more thing. the reasons our last name sounds like spanish because we had been colonized by spaniards way back then. not only spaniards who colonized us but as well as japanese too.
