Julie and Moira were singing in Tagalog and KZ ans Morisette were singing in their regional language called Bisaya (bee-sah-yah). Besides Tagalog and English, there's about 180+ other languages and dialects in the Philippines. That's why both English and Tagalog are in the school curriculums so that we understand each other. LOL. Philippines is actually the 5th most English speaking country in the world. Anyhow, take care and cheers.

Sam, KZ and Mori aren't singing in Tagalog. They're singing in Cebuano (Bisaya), a southern dialect here in the Phils.

I may have asked you to react to this singer before, but you're missing one of the top female Filipino singers who was sung many times with Morissette. That is Jona Viray. With your perceptiveness of vocal production I would be interested in your take on the unique tone that Jona has. She's the only singer that regularly gives me chills. Here are a couple of examples of her live singing, one in English and one Tagalog. But she has also an excellent classical soprano voice that's completely different. In these two examples you can see hear amazing unique resonance. A trademark of her style is to build in intensity throughout the song. it's when she cranks it up a couple gears and opens up with that esonance that gives me chills. That was sung in VISAYAN, not Tagalog, Sam (KZ and Mori). It's the common language in the South; like in the Visayas and Mindanao. The pronunciation is hard and accentuated, and the tone rises and falls; like you're doing riffs and runs in a song.
