When you mentioned how her voice sounds different in the beginning brought me back to when she sings Torn as a duet,with her self Where she switches back from Rachel Berry Season 1 voice to Rachel Berry Season 5. Its bananas

They were both original cast members and leads in the Broadway production of Spring Awakening. You should go back and listen to those performances.

I've always loved Jesse and Rachel together. One of my favorite songs in the world is Jessie's girl, because if this show. I know that Finn sings that song, but he wouldn't have if it weren't for Jesse. I'm always going to love them together. They sing so beautifully together.

I think that Rachel and Jesse was a good endgame. I love Finn and Rachel together, but Rachel and Jesse have a lot in common, they can understand each other more than anyone else

They did "Hello Twelve, Hello Thirteen, Hello Love" from A Chorus Line in season 1 but that part did not make the cut. The clip exists on KZfaq, though.

Hands down the best thing these two ever sang together on glee! Since we all know how he makes it sound easy - I have three items for you to look into - 1. There is a clip of Groff telling what the biggest f-up he ever did was 2. Groff performing “Anything Goes” at Miscast 3. Jeremy Jordan and Groff singing “Let me be your star” at Miscast! CHECK THEM OUT!!

This one pushed me into becoming a Patron because I LOVE IT! My favorite duet, hands down, of season 6. Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff had better than 10 years of duet experience by this point. I highly recommend Spring Awakening and their most recent recording, Love Me for an Hour. Thank you for the reaction!

Hello, after reading your comment I went and listened to the duet you mentioned « love me for an hour ». I just didn’t like it… I don’t know if it’s the music or the lyrics but the song seems empty you know. I’m use to hear the richness and power in Lea’s voice and, in my opinion, it was missing in the song, same with Jonathan ‘s. It lacks warmth and the sense of confort when listening to Lea Michele or Jonathan Groff. Have a nice day!

It would be interesting to compare their first song on Glee together with this one and see how they have changed as their characters grew up. I know they have a big history singing together before glee, but things change as you age and the characters evolved together.

After S4 Lea's voice really got smother. I think she began to re-take vocal lessons somewhere in between S3/S4. You should really look up The LMDC Tour vids where Lea toured with Darren Criss. Her voice sounds so good live. If you don't have the time for it all I would really recommend listening to Lea/Darren's version of Make you Feel my Love where they sang this version without microphones & only Darren playing Guitar.

Her voice change is probably an acting choice at the start of the song she is more melancholy as she starts to sing with Jesse she is now having fun singing with someone who can match her.

As a quick background for this moment. This is during season 6 which is the last season of Glee. Rachel moves back to home after leaving a Broadway show to do a failed TV shows which tarnished her reputation. She takes over the Glee club to success and towards the end of the season, she has two opportunities to return to NYC, either accepting a Broadway role or going back to NYADA to finish her education (for which she dropped out). So she debating which road to take. Jesse comes back home as well to take care of his mom and help Rachel with her decision

Ok so I did decide to watch this just for you lol. And I liked their voices. I still hate them as a couple as always will, but yeah love the singing. 😂 You should react to one of Lea's duets with Chord. They're my favourite Glee duets. They perform A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton, Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper and I'll Never Fall In Love Again by Burt Bacharach. 😊
