ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?

I mean she literally bared herself physically in a tasteful way and it's literally and metaphorically her baring her soul and being open. Honestly this song is simple and beautiful.

Not really a Katy Perry fan per se, but this is quite a beautiful song & message. Her voice is powerful and pleasant. Best wishes for her & her baby. Thanks Miss RVA for introducing it to me:)

She is awesome, never was into her music. Then in 2018 I saw her in concert, wow 2 hours of a visual feast for the eyes and vocally she smashed it out of the park.

One of her best! Love the message of triumph over adversity (as a high school senior right now this speaks to people like me), and the high belts throughout the chorus! Love your channel, you radiate positivity! ❤️

I'm not a Perry fan, but I always appreciate a vocal coach's perspective on even artists/bands I'm not a fan of, because you know the energy and techniques that's needed for singing! Your reaction to this song helped me see Perry's song a bit differently! (I'm a huge fan of yours!) I did hear a tribal element to it with the raw strength she had at a few points, as well as the growls. Made me think of some of the tribal-like songs you've reacted to, like "Wolf Totem," by The Hu! I wanted to be a vocal coach at one point in my life, and I probably would be now, online like you, if it weren't for lack of energy and dealing with chronic illnesses that prevent me from committing the time and physical effort it takes! I haven't seen if you've reacted to Evanescence's new single, "Wasted On You," but I thought you might really like a stringed version Amy Lee has done with violinist Lindsey Stirling. Amy's vocals are hauntingly beautiful, and so is Lindsey's violin playing! The video is at: ?v=kUGnXf8JtDw ... after the "watch" part of a KZfaq's URL.

Floor Jansen uploaded a video on her channel earlier, singing "De Beelden Blijven (The Images Remain)", a charity song for War Child which is also being used in a 3 part Dutch documentary to commemorate the liberation of The Netherlands 75 years ago. I think you'll like the song. ❤️ And I saw my brother and his family for the first time since lockdown. We had a social-distancing outside meetup to celebrate my birthday today. 🎂

Rebecca, you should check out Blackbriar, the singer has a very unique sounding voice. I would suggest Arms Of the Ocean or Mortal Remains. They are my latest obsession.
