Who am I?
Expert singing teacher, specialising in teaching children and young adults in singing and musical theatre. She has worked with the likes of The Saturdays for MTV, on shows such as Just the Two of Us for the BBC and many more. Throughout her years of teaching she has judged in many competitions, judging Lucy Spraggan, George Samson, amongst others who have gone onto succeed in the business.
I am the founder of Vocaltutor, (founded 2003) the UK’s largest vocal and singing tuition network and now The New Foundry Studios which opened in 2013.
I have worked with BBCTV on Just the Two of Us, with many celebrities including Natasha Hamilton of Atomic Kitten, plus has worked for ITV on many children’s TV programmes including The Worst Witch, as their vocal coach.

sjsjsjs;-p Nope. Beyoncé is great, she’s the best out there now...but Whitney had no equal. Beyoncé head voice was good but Whitney’s head voice is/was the best in popular music. Adele has no real reason to be here, her voice is limited plus she strains a lot. It’s ridiculous to even put her avians Beyoncé or Whitney. Adele can battle with Rihanna, Taylor, Ciara...but she can’t handle Ariana, Demi, Tori, Sia, Lady GaGa, Pink, Kelly Clarkson...they’d sing Adele off the stage, out the door, into the Uber, in their home and under their bed.

Bey really loves an echoing effect on the mic, that`s one of her signatures and i love it as well. I don`t think she should lose points over that bc it`s not autotune or pitch perfection it`s just give a better vibe.

How so ? Unlike the other two ladies, almost all of Beyonce's clips displayed her voice enhanced by artifical echo or in massively resonant concert stadiums captured by phones and saturation in sound that make the voice sound incredibly powerful.

@@good14u30 Lol, I don't think so. Whitney had perfect breath support and i'd say her technique is equal with Beyonce since they are technically both perfect, but Whitney is more focused on the emotional aspect of singing whereas Beyonce is more focused on the technical part of singing like Mariah.

Whitney's voice was just glorious...tone n power..best dynamics n placement..she can switch from soft to powerful with aplomb..best vibrato in the biz..her vibrato is an indication of how great her technique was..she will always be THE VOICE..Beyonce's voice might not have the depth of Whit's but her technique is also superb.

Beyonce does not have better technique than Whitney. Beyonce is just a more technical singer whereas Whitney is more of an emotive singer. Whitney also has gospel roots, so that's where her growls come from.

Although Whitney was BORN with a naturally stronger and more powerful voice her lack of training and bad technique at her peak was one of the reasons why her voice declined. Beyoncé, on the other hand, was trained by an opera singer and displays better technique. Both are exceptional vocalists in their own right.

Homeless Guy Beyoncé technique is near flawless and she is classical trained for years. She has more supported range than Whitney’s whole range combined. Not to mention that she can support lower and higher than her (as a freaking mezzo) She growls up to belted F5/G5 and A5 without hurting herself. Even Beyoncé’s worste moments sounds great. She has 99,9% control over her voice. Deal with it.

To be honest, knowing all their voices and careers, it is hard to assume the final result, Georgina. Adele and whitney, close to a draw? Beyonce behind Adele? it was times like this that made me doubt her credibility tbf. But then you take into account that she only listens once and never goes back to listen again. Yeah mate, we're on the same page. When I read the title I was like "Adele doesn't even have a chance against them." and after seeing the video I was shocked she was ahead of Bey. This vocal battle video was very against Beyonce. She's had much better vocals than these, but even if it was a fair collecting, Whitney would 100% win it. Then would come Bey, and lastly Adele.

@@watashi-tachisailorguardia228 Nope Whitney is a spinto-soprano. Spinto-sopranos are usually mistaken for mezzos because of the weight of their voices, but if you notice Whitney has a higher tessitura and can sing high belts with more ease than mezzos can.

Adele is great at telling simple, emotive stories and is so likable. She's so much fun. Her voice is overrated though. Beyonce is the vocalist of her generation. She's consistent, musically intuitive, her runs are clean, her lows are solid and her technique us superb. I personally hate the heavy reverb on her mic though. It detracts from her natural sound. Whitney in her prime was not just great, she was one the greats. Her mid belts were as powerful as nuclear bomb, her head voice was so operatic and she had such great dynamics, she didn't just rely on power, she had light and shade

How can you match anyone against, the late greatest female vocalist of all-time! Whitney Houston. Especially these two, don't get me wrong! I think Beyonce & Adele are great artist. But no!! Not against Whitney, she is in a class all by herself.

Vous avez parfaitement raison. Je ne comprends même pas ce semblant de comparaison. Whitney n'a rien à voir avec les 2 chanteuses citées. Whitney n'est pas du même univers. C'était une Déesse. Pas une terrienne. Que l'on compare Adèle et Beyoncé, c'est vraisemblable et possible. Ce sont de bonnes chanteuses comme il y en a beaucoup un peu partout, moins exposées, c'est tout.

Adele's higher belts sound a bit forced to me, lacking power and resonance (I would love to see her belt a sustained c#5 or D5 live) Beyonce was better, a bit more ease and clarity in her belts Whitney however crunched those notes, that mid to upper belt range of whitney is unmatched💯 I would score them Adele 2 Beyonce 4 Whitney 6

Andre Thomas Whitney destroys Bey vocally. Bey screeches too much and tries to do too much. Back in the day Beyoncé was awesome, but she fell off as a singer.

First of all bad clips for beyonce second of all the eb5 ofc beyonce takes it and idk how you thought adeles c#5 is amazing she was shouting the hell out of it , and adele b4s tense and shouty ofc beyonce with her amazingly bright , amazingly supported , amazing breath management b4 gets it , and the d5 are you kidding ofc beyonce gets it lol , and adeles eb5 was heavily auto-tuned and pushy , and adeles first c5 was trash it was shouting what are u talking about , so heavily strained from adele overpushing no vocal chords connection, they picked the most growled shit from beyonce and she still slayed , i do not comprehend it , and the d5 is trash from adele ofc whitney and beyonce get it , plus you called sliding cheating in the previous videos and adele slid with that eb5 , and it was heavily autotuned , and pushed and you still picked her , those are facts not my opinion , btw you are awesome but , i just needed to point those things out

I love that you say it’s a lot of preference since they all have amazing voices. I think a lot of times the type and style of music Beyonce sings doesn’t let her voice truly shine like it really could but I think it’s definitely Whitney > Beyonce > Adele vocally. I’d love to see Beyonce tackle some Whitney tracks and see how she handles them for a better comparison of their voices

Whitney is in a whole different category. She is the supreme of them. Beyoncé and Adele have very different singing styles, so you cannot truly compare them. I like them both.

Might I request that you do a reaction to her love medley video when she was in the red dress. Should be the welcome home heroes concert at Norfolk Navy Base. You will really love it. I love me some Adele, but honestly I don't know why she was included here. She just doesn't have the same range, and her entire persona is not precisely about her voice but rather about her lyrics and the music as a whole. Beyonce and Whitney have a much stronger focus on vocals in how they balance their artistry

Whitney will always win. As long as u have the right clips.. but also alot of the notes are wrong for whitney.. D5 was an EB5 her on of her C#5 was a D5.. God knows what else was wrong but yh.

the D5 was a D5. She sang it a semi tone lower live. The C#5 was a C#5 , if you are referring to greatest love of all...she also sang it a semitone down in live performances from 1987

I am interested in what you'd classify as a growl? To my ear none of the effects Adele used in any of those clips, especially the Etta James Cover, was a growl. It's a Kind of distortion that's produced higher up in the vocal tract. Notice the bright Sound color and the sharpness of the tone. Growls are usually dark and heavy in terms of Sound color. Or would you classify any rough vocal effect as growl?

@@ranmasaotome2876 Whitney resonance only sounds great at her midbelt. As she goes above E5, she becomes shrill and loses support, thus no resonance present. Meanwhile, Beyonce can support up her belt notes to F#5 with resonance which is something Whitney can't do.

Adele's main talent to me is incredible song writing, it's a bonus that she has a world class voice. Houston has he best voice I think. Beyonce has a really good voice similar level to Adele, but Beyonce dosen't write her own songs like Adele.

I’m sorry but I have to disagree completely. Adele technique is not matched to Beyoncé’s at all. I mean she’s had problems in the past with her voice due to technique. Whitney is THE voice because her tone is just so soothing and rich but, Beyoncé just might be the best vocalist technique wise. That’s not disrespecting to the other too at all she just has SUPERB technique making her one of the greatest vocalist of all time.
