Ariana's music is now showing so much of her personality and sense of humour, that didn't use to show. It feels really authentic, I like it. Even her vocals reflect that. She's not singing as hard as she used to.

I think the first time we hear her more mature voice is in the song "quit" which came out a while after dangrous woman came out and she just sounds so completley different int that song that a few fans weren't even sure if it was her. It's absolutley beautiful though and it gave us a taste of what was to come and i can't wait to see what she'll sound like in a few years

So her voice now is darker than let's say my everything era but she's not trying to darken it like in dangerous woman tour. Maybe she used dw tour as an exercise, forcing to darken her voice so she'll eventually get use to it. Now her voice is just the perfect balance between light and dark. You're a vocal coach so if you read this I know you'll understand what I'm trying to say because I don't know the terms. Hahahahahahah

Honestly, I think of course you can have your own opinion on the lyrics. But she’s been in so much pain and I think for her to have a jam, is fair for her. She didn’t like him, that’s her choice not yours. Her music and style is developing and I know a few people don’t like it- just because she’s not singing her heart out like dangerous woman. She’s developing and that’s okay.

Might be wrong cause I have to say I haven‘t checked that much footage (I definitely should tho!) of her singing live. BUT anyways, I heard a few parts where she performed a concert and gave her voice more power and wasn‘t singing with that much breath as she does in her recordings. She‘s unbelievably talented tho, everything she sings sounds reeeally good and I love her but I personally think she sounds also very pretty singing a bit louder and with more power :)

Charleen Yeah I completely agree, I’ve heard some recordings of her singing how you described it’s just that she doesn’t usually do that so I thought it was a bit different from how Tristan described most artists and how they always sing like their normal speaking voice

@@musichere3287 imo both are important. The beauty of music is you can convey a message with beautiful sound. Personally I think sweetener was bad sonically and dangerous woman was bad lyrically but tun had both deep meanings and sounded good which is why I think it's her best album.
